Don't Let 'em Fall! by Jonasz Kądziela
A few words of introduction:
This is my second Ludum Dare. I decided to create a quite simple game, that would enable me to tinker a bit with things I've never done before (like Nav Mesh, Map Generation)
Unfortunately, this Ludum Dare I didn't have enough time to create any music/sound effects for the game. I hope that it won't be a problem for you. However, I have included music & sound effects in the Post JAM release
How to play?
- The map consists of 400 cubes (20x20)
- During 180 seconds the map is being gradually destroyed
- The game becomes a bit harder every 5 seconds
- You have to save as many units as possible
Controls:
Basic Controls
- Left Mouse Button - select units
- Left Mouse Button + Drag - box selection
- Right Mouse Button - set destination point for selected units
Camera Movement
- W or Up Arrow - move camera forward
- S or Down Arrow - move camera backward
- A or Left Arrow - move camera to the left
- D or Right Arrow - move camera to the right
- MouseWheel - zoom in/zoom out
Other Controls
- Hold Left CTRL - group selection mode
- ESC or P - pause the game
- H - show/hide score UI
I do really hope that the game isn't too hard or straight up boring. I had very little time to play and balance it
Remember that you should rate the game based on the initial release version.

I think the theme is well respected but graphics are too simple, and there's no sound at all, that reduces the quality of your game. But yeah that was enjoyable to try it out :)
Are you planning on continuing development? I think if you found a suitable theme for it, it would make it much better (herd control simulator, a new twist on Lemmings, etc).
Good job! :)
You understood it correctly - during this Ludum Dare I had my first experience working with NavMesh. Firstly, it was a little bit of a hustle, but after some time I managed to create something out of it 😅
The use of Nave Mesh is great for the first time you use it 😉
In any case it was fun to play and fits the theme so good job 🙂
Units are hard to click on  That's a bit odd. Did you only use **Left Mouse Button** to select the units, or have you tried box selection (**Left Mouse Button** + **Drag**)?
Ah I didn't hear any sound on the original WebGL version, is that normal?
Unfortunately, yes, the lack of sounds in the initial release is normal. This Ludum Dare I didn’t have enough time to create any music/sound effects for the game :slight_frown:
But if you mind hearing some SFX, then I'd recommend trying out the latest release (Post JAM)
By the way please feel free to leave us some feedbacks on our game!
By the way, I already reviewed your game and I have to say, I really enjoyed playing it
