It's a great usage of the theme!
I think if you add some function for the enter key like hitting the GO in the browser for me. Then the gameplay can be more smooth.
BTW can I have some hints about how to uninstall safe365? I have already got a crash because of it three times!😂

This game has 4 endings, you can see them in "Crash Log" on desktop after you got one of the endings.

To reach Ending2 and Ending4, you should Stop Killing Virus when it is running.

And you will see something different on desktop after this.

I think this may be not a "natural" way to achieve multiple endings, but I don't have an better idea, so I just do that. :rofl:

Maybe you can introduce a new software such as Tencenx PC manager to allow people to unistall safe365!

Finally I got 4 endings! I love the desktop simulator forever! Quite a good game that makes me think of those applications in real life XD

@dimlight Yeah, I love the desktop simulator too. It likes something we are familar, but they can do some magic thing that always surprised me :rofl:

Amazing game! I love it. I spent 30 minutes playing this trying to reach ending 2 until i give up and look at the solution here :sweat_smile:

The concept is fun and the execution is top notch. I can't believe this is done within a game jam. Everything is perfect except the second ending was hard to get to :stuck_out_tongue:

I also ran into a bug where the computer ran out of disk and all the crash dialog pop up but the game didn't restart so i just got stuck there and couldn't do anything.

Other than that, very well done! Love this, it is definitely one of my favourite games from this JAM.

PS: is this inspired by safe360 :p?

Great horror game and great use of theme! I only wish I had more freedom over how I could try and solve the problem, but I understand why it is this way, so it is no problem. The constant need for new software was pretty funny too. Thank you!

I ended up getting myself in a time loop or something. But a neat game, though!

Very nice game, similar to something I went for this time. I got stuck at one point when many programs were installing but this is a really solid entry and the hectic tone when all the error messages appeared was really well executed.

Nice execution of the theme! The game is pretty fun! I know it's intentional, but I found it a bit frustrating that I couldn't do anything except exactly what it wanted me to. I guess that's how most games are, but when a game feels like it should be open-ended and isn't, it feels bad to me.
That probably makes me sound like I didn't like it, but I did! Definitely a great game for a 72 hour Jam!

I love this interpretation. The execution is clever and the threat of running out of disk space is very relatable. :D Really digging the minimal look of the cute faux OS.

great game, I played it for waay too long although I couldn't figure out the other endings without looking at comments :D both the color palette, the look and the sound all came together to make a very enjoyable experience. well done!

@boopsgames Yeah, you are right, I can't agree more. It's not a good idea that make players do everything I want him to do in a game. But in a game jam, you know, I don't have so many time to let everything under my control. So maybe this is the easiest way to make my game less bugs. this was really fun! The desktop experience is really smooth and the UI desing is great. My only little complaint is that the enter key won't work on the browser, when you are running out of time yo definetly need it hehe. great job!!

Great game! The art, audio, and gameplay really play well together. And it's always appreciated to have a desktop simulator in LDJam! After I installed super uninstaller I was like SCREW THIS and tried to uninstall "Computer". Sadly that was not one of the options. PLEASE MAKE THIS AN OPTION AND END THE SUFFERING ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!

@kingofwhawha lol, this uninstaller is not that "SUPER", it can not uninstall Safe365 :rofl:

Who on earth has this computer? Either way, who woul'vr known using a computer would be so much fun. The lack of audio is an excellent design choice. In the nexty iteration, you should add right-click menu functionality.

This game was TOTALLY AWESOME BONKERS LOL!!! I loved it. I would really like to see a full version. And while I'm at it, I would also like to be able to sequence break (I was only able to get the 1st ending), like f.e. you can get the uninstaller before Safe365 starts downloading crap. Any way, this is probably my favorite game from LD42.

This takes me to a time when I was a gullible little fellow and unknowingly downloaded viruses. Now I steer clear of suspicious files and sites.

Really funny. It was too stressful to play but I got a good laugh out of it!

Managed to get endings 1 and 3, but couldn't figure out how to get the others... I love that the multiple endings are shown in-game as a crash log, that's some great polish, right there. I especially like that downloading more applications takes up space, making the game harder, and then that turns on you in the end!

Great use of windows simulation in this entry, I had fun with it.
