I absolutely loved this! The simple concept of "click to continue" but everything about its presentation just made it so enthralling. I loved the music and tone. Really great job!

The mood is so well established. The music really helped to engage and the tension builds up perfectly. Really liked how the crown would 'go to his head' as he presents his thoughts. I found I was really tensed up anticipating the last click, and the ring of the crown in silence finishes nicely. The torches were a nice touch, the only thing moving and visible the whole time. I loved it!

beautiful art and mood. I loved the transition of light and the tiny flicker of the torches in the darkness. Keep up the good work!

Trying to find the "game" in this, i guess it's not a game, but what it is, is a beautiful piece of narrative with interactive elements that add to the mood. Well done.

Well the lack of gameplay is well compensated with solid graphics and atmosphere. It was an enjoyable interacticve comic.

Wow, what a cool experience.
I really liked the perfect spacebar use :)

Unfortunately I can't find the theme in the gameplay :/ It will be my only complaint ...

Well done !!

The mood was amazing, the sounds and visuals are stunning. I just kinda don't get it? :D But yeah it was really cool just really not my type of 'game'

More of an experience than a game, but I really liked it. The ominous music and giving the player the job of pressing the spacebar which in the end is the king's undoing is well done.

As others have said, the audio and graphics are really well executed. Pressing space bar every now and then with no variation of outcome doesn't really seem like a game to me though.

The distance of the kings perspective from the masses makes for an interesting subject. The story is told through foreboding mood in the music and graphics and it fits the theme well. The kings lack of movement restricted the "game" to a slideshow, and similarly with the static view.

LOL, That was very funny. While I don't consider this a game, it was so great that I don't care. The contrast between kings monologue and the masses was one of the funniest I have seen in a long while. The art and sfx are great too. I love it.

Great mood, nice graphics and very innovative.

Lacks some kind of game play though, it feels more like a webcomic.

Wow... That was an intense experience, extremely unsettling and tense. The crown shrouding the king's eyes is some great symbolism. The audio is extremely smart and effective. It's definitely more of an art piece than a game, but it works so well as it's intended. Awesome job.

Art is beautiful; the atmosphere is excellent, love the audio. I like the concept of inverted SPACE to read the text. Still, I would like at least small portion of gameplay.

Short and sweet, your use of one button controls impressed me a lot. It's rather hard to call it a game however, you should have mentioned that it's an art project with minimal interaction so that not to disturb some users.

@giucapan The game is text on black with no graphics on macOS 10.13.1 (17B1003) played in Safari Version 11.0.1 (13604.3.5). I find that it works in Chrome.

The mood and art style is superb. This is true gamejam gem, that's what I'm looking for in ld/indie games - small, well executed experiences. It's like reading short story/comic book. Love it.
And I have strong Mignola vibe.

That was a really good short story. I think the mechanic of holding the space bar works really well and is so simple.
The game is also exceptional visually and on the audio as they really server the feel of the story.

Because this is a great submission I will allow myself to nit pick: The effect of the light coming up when you release the space bar could be faster to increase the dramatic effect.

I like it. Well done.

Especcialy the crown drop at the end. That was cool.

This is an interesting way to portray a message, while keeping things simple. I wondered what the message is by mixing the Statues game with a political situation. The King's breathing sounds, and strange thoughts, made me think he might be dreaming. Overall, a unique, thought-provoking entry, with nice art and sound effects.

Interesting. Neat storytelling mechanic, the graphics and the light effects are really well-done! Fitting audio, as well, creating a very dense atmosphere. I would like to play more like this! \o/ The story arc seemed obvious to me from the beginning, maybe I would have liked more mystery or story twists. :)
