The Adventures of Stickman in Macrosoft Doors! by Scott Purcival

We decided to go with the ol' running out of hard drive space trope. Also, we have very few skills. I am a programmer, and I roped in my wife, my nephew and a friend who all have zero game making experience, to make a game in 72 hours! As such we plan to win by silliness. Please enjoy our incredibly naive frolic through game development. :D

Features: - Epic Platforming Action! - Hand Drawn Art! - Computer Drawn Art! - Badly Drawn Art! - Hilariously bad voice over Narration! - Silliness abounds!
Tools Used: Unity3D Visual Studio Adobe Photoshop & Audition Clip Studio Paint GarageBand A whole bunch of random objects around the house and our voices! Pen and paper!!

(17/08/18) UPDATE:- There are two versions below titled LATEST and CRAPPY respectively. The CRAPPY version has the as submitted at LD42 controls - a little skatey and more challenging. The LATEST version has revised controls (bugfixed - if you will) that should be easier to control. I literally changed one line of code... from "AddForce()" to ".velocity =" - which seems to have made all the difference in the world. Turns out my 'best practice' use of the physics system was not best for players. Oh well! First 2D platformer I have made so bound to learn something! XD Enjoy!

Controls were a little difficult. I would often slide off of the platforms and making the precision jumps was difficult. Some of that is the Unity 2d physics but it could use some tweaking.
Animations and presentation were great!
The art is the work of 3 ppl: Characters - Tobias Burwood, Environment - Scott Purcival and Jay Purcival
All in all, good entry!
Definitely going to write my own physics next time. Unity physics is a bit too squidgey for me. 🤣
OK, I think I got everyone!
I have uploaded a new version where the buggy controls have been fixed. By no means do I expect a replay from anyone, but if you do happen to try out the new controls can you please comment on if they are better or not?
Left old(original) version up in the links too.
Thanks!!
Feel free to play our game and give some feedback,Thanks!
