Story

Wake up in a village. You have to provide food for them or they won't be able to defend before the raiders. But you also need to eat and improve your skills.

Hunt down animals and gain loot. Bring it back before night and make a choice! Will you keep the obtained resources or sacrifice them so the village can survive the next day? The time is short and the needs high.

I could not interact with the characters to use my food. I tried 'E' to interact. What's the trick?

@treegemmer Which characters were it? Only the still-standing guys can get the food from you....
Left one = decide to keep the food, village is NOT SAFE from raids, but you get buffs.
Right one = decide to sacrifice the food to the village, village IS SAFE from raids, but you get debuffs.

I love the way the camera and the backgrounds move when the character moves around. But I'm not sure about what sacrifice was about. Hunters that getting food for his village is part of their job not sacrifice though. The meat found on corpse was not piling up. Maybe I had to provide a single meat to the village one at a time? That part was not so obvious. However the ambiance of that game offer is quite good.

the ambiance of the game is very cool
but i am consused about the bring food mecanism .. hmaybe somme other information on screen can help

anyway i had fun to hunt animals ;)

Looks cool! It's like "Starbound" with more tycoon mechanics. Dialog messages looks prettily ;) Their shining is little bit out of other game art.
I won't kill deers because they are nice)) So the only way is to compete bears.
Effects in general - is good as well!
And it's great that you have made html version. Not much games here can afford it because of performance.(

The bloom on messages is there because it's on the camera, there was no time to fix that, but we don't think it's too bad... :)
Well you can hunt bears or hares by setting up traps under the trees with hare holes under them. :)

Html version is necesarry IMO. Thank you!

Interesting concept, choices are always tough to make. I enjoyed the setting and ambiance, but aiming with the bow was a bit hard for me (playing the HTML5 version, not sure if it had something to do). NPC characters add some background story which is great to see in a LDJam game. The bear was deadly ;) Congrats on delivering this!

I pretty much agree with what was already said - nice game, interesting camera solution, weird shooting. I want to add just one thing - my game experience rapidly increased when I switched on hints. IMHO the game should impel the player to do the right choices, i.e. it should somehow highlight the items that he can interact with. Sometimes, of course, it is not desirable to do so (because of the game design) but I think that here it is not the case.

Archery was fun and world pleasant to explore. Game i've played for the longest time.

Couldn't throw any arrows after some time, don't know if i had not any arrows anymore or if it was a bug.
Music in base switch from only left to right ear at some x coordinate.

Yeah, there is no indicator of the arrow amount but they are limited. You can replenish them at your home and also, when you boost yourself, the max number you can carry gets increased but there is no way to tell from the game right now, that's true.

The sound is great and fits to the graphics. The hunting is fun when you manage to shoot in the right angle. But sometimes the character does not flip when walking backwards.

nice concept, decent looks, but missing a HUD unless it was intentional ^^

Hit a deer mid air with an arrow, it flew off screen like a rocket ;D

Decent game. There were some visibility issues with the arrows and the UI (small black text on a dark background = bad news). E should be a button prompt too. Anyway, nitpicks aside, the concept of the game was cool, and with a few tweaks, the game could be great.

Really like how you realized shooting with bow and arrow! Also very nice sound effects and music. Especially the little details are great, for example when you're passing a bush with bees. Awesome game!
