In Metal Rescue, you play as a robot with an extremely sofisticated artificial intelligence, but, just as the other robots in this world, had his power generator replaced by a car battery, limiting all its advanced processing functions. In the game, you must try to get back your source of energy, surviving without it!

love your robot, but the level design is little to hard and the robot walk to slowly

I like the aesthetics of the game and everything I encountered was functioning as it should. My 2 complaints are that the robot moves pretty slow and that the game-play is setup for you to fail over and over again until you get things figured out. Especially with lock picking for example, there was no way to complete that first try. You'd have to be ridiculously lucky. Overall I think it's a very solid game though for sure.

The robot runs incredibly fast, so fast that he is hard to control. I'm also tunnelling through walls. Did you increase his speed at some point, or could I be experiencing a bug?

@connorses Probably a bug! The game runs slow (low fps) in your pc?

I also had the moving really fast bug but I downloaded the more recent version and it seems to be fixed. Now I agree that the movement is a little bit slow, especially the animation for grabbing onto ledges, mostly since if there's a saw blade there it's hard to jump up without getting hit.

I'm really impressed with the graphics and quality of the animations. I like the premise of robots vs humans and the lockpicking mechanic was nice too once I'd figured it out. All in all, a really pretty game with some good mechanics but a little buggy and could do with some polish.

Game runs a little bit low on my computer, that's why I keep making 2D games  . Love the fact that each level got their introduction scene. Also the key part looks cool. Maybe you can add some extra features to the gameplay like walls crushing and a kind of configuration to stop their movement (like the key combination part). Other than that great game.

Really nice game, amazing graphics. Mood in this game is awesome (that opening scene was amazing). Some things could be polished, but steel amazing game.

Hm, is this that new Blender realtime engine? This is the first game made with it that I played.
It ran terribly until I chose to disabled the shaders, then it was okay but not very smooth. There were still a lot of issues with clipping through walls and such though.

But I made it through and escaped! The platforming was pretty difficult because your jumps are very floaty and the movement is pretty jerky. Those humans and...giant saw blades...are really dangerous! I got a lot of use out of those checkpoints, they were needed as frequently as they appeared.

It took me way too long to get the "trick" to the lockpicking game. Good job on the presentation of that btw!

I didn't play a blender based game for a long time. Nice game, the blades made me compare it with super meat boy :D but no it's different game.

Also i loved the fact that it looks like a full game, not a game been made in a rush, you have less bugs, tidy game, well designed levels, a full functional menu,...and much more. This must took long time and effort to do!

Good job guys!

Very good work, it has a story line, it is somehow very playable and interesting. Graphics and audio is well-done, one of the best this time.

I have one negative though, the problem was with movement, it wasn't smooth and it was very easy to get stuck. It seemed to be too slow for me.

The game went well and smooth (as opposed to other comments here - but I've ran it on high-end rig).

Congratulations and good job!

The game is nice alltogether, HOWEVER, there is one issue that basically "destroyed" the experience for me - character controller. You should work more on that next time!

Lovely graphics and voice! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DrJOSU_FjM
