Wow, that music amazing! @cnb Please release it somewhere!

The game is fun too, but really hard. I don't really like how you can only aim directly up, down, or to the sides. I also feel the view distance is a little too small, but I understand these might have been purposeful choices to add to the difficulty.

5 star game, awesome job!

Love the art, though the window seems so small I can barely see anything. Also the slugs respawning immediately after their death/spawning fast in general made avoiding the slugs basically impossible. I wasn't even able to make it past level two! Anyways, mechanics are very smooth and the art style is nice.

I liked the artstyle a lot! The sound effects are nice too. I would have liked to be able to aim in more than 4 directions, some slimes where very hard to kill. Also, some checkpoints would be nice, it gets frustrating to restart from the begining (and having to resize the window after each death too). It's a nice entry overall, well done!

Sweet little game :)

Nice graphics, Nice mood, Nice overall game!

There was a tiny high pitch clicky noise in your audio samples that (for me) made them gard to enjoy... But they were great :) !

The gameplay was cool and smooth!

Keep it

Good art, good music, fun gameplay. This game's a good one. I do wish the slugs spawned a little slower and that you could aim in more than the 4 cardinal directions, but even with those complaints, this is a very good game.

Pros:
- The art style and sound design is consistent and pleasant to look at. I think a spray bottle would have made more sense for a space janitor than a gun, but maybe janitors carry guns in the future so who am I to argue that! I'm most impressed with how consistent all of the sprites looked and the pleasant color palette.
- The shooting and mop attacks both felt responsive. I think the most difficult task of having two attacks is making them feel balanced and have strongly defined strengths and weaknesses. I noticed myself switching between the two frequently which is great.

Cons:
- Some sort objective rather than reaching the door would have felt better to me. -- Maybe you are trying to turn on the sprinkler systems for the room and then you can move on?
- Longer levels would have been great, maybe something like all the levels connecting and after you clear an area the new one opens up. (time constraints makes this kinda thing difficult though, our game is pretty short too)
- I found myself frustrated at the green/grey drain on the second level (2nd floor) that I felt like I couldn't get by without getting hurt. I get that the concept is that you can't possible clear all the slimes and its a race against time, but it felt unavoidable getting damaged going through there.

Wonderful game, please don't read into my criticisms too hardly -- I really enjoyed it :)

Really really great game, and I could tell instantly from the music on the title screen. Truly great job. I loved the pixel art style and the spawn rate of the slugs was on point to create that sense that they cannot be destroyed but only delayed to make a path for a few seconds. Solid entry, deserves a high rating!

Love the character designs and the art style. The top down perspective works well with the blocky look. The cardinal aiming controls felt a bit stiff but the mop attack's big range made up for it.

This is really fantastic, gorgeous graphics and excellent music. Very enjoyable to replay as well which can be hard to achieve in a game jam! Great work! Looking forward to the teams future!

Very nice. Great graphics, great music and sound effects, and intuitive controls which made it easy to understand. My only gripe would be that the game window is a little small - I kept clicking out of the window when trying to squash some slugs.

Art, animations, music were all excellent. The game was quite fun too, although I found it a bit difficult. I do agree about having an objective, as @william-kluegel pointed out. All in all, it's a great entry, and should definitely be rated among the top games for this jam.

Wow nice art style!

Fuckin slugs. It's a bit frustrating in a good way!
As it's really hard (which is not bad!), I think it would be better if you could start on the same level, not restarting on the first.
And I think free shooting direction (to clear out slugs from far) would be better.

Pretty cool concept, music is nice as well. I don't like the way the rotating and shooting works though. The position of the mouse gets used to rotate the character in one of four directions, but it feels a bit weird and not like the way to go. As suggested in another comment, free shooting direction would be better imo.

Art and audio on point. Only frustration was that the slugs were unrelenting and at places impossible to pass without taking damage. Great Job otherwise!

Gave up on after dying so many times at that narrow passage in stage two. The way the slugs keep spawning without delay after being killed, with all the spawn points blocking the passage makes it difficult not to get damaged when passing through. Not to mention the awkward aiming controls..

Other than that, cool and funny game! Ooh that crunch sound

Oh and the mop would be even more hilarious if the gun was just for show! Well the gun also has its uses in some situations, I guess. But man, mopping alien slugs with an empty gun in the other hand would be awesome.

Last note, why keep resetting the resolution on each restart?
