Drag and drop items on a spaceship crew while your inventory slowly runs out of space!

Splash.PNG

Synopsis

You’re a hacker who has snuck onto the USS Perspicacious. You must download as much sensitive data to your flash drive as possible without getting caught. In order to do that, you had to disable the ship’s replicator, which means you'll have to deliver all the required objects that the crew requests before they get frustrated and report you to security!

Items will come in the pipeline and you'll need to add them to the cargo hold before the handing out items to the crew. Be careful, though, you have limited space so you'll need to make sure all the items you need fit in the cargo hold!

How to play

Click on the items coming down the conveyor belt on the right to put them into your cargo hold

Drag and Drop items in your cargo hold on the left on to any crew members that have the matching item pop up in their word bubbles.

If you get it right, they respond with a heart and your stealth level (HP) goes up. Get it wrong or don’t get the correct item to them in time and they get angry and you lose stealth level!

Stay alive until the timer runs out and you beat the level! Go below 0 stealth and you’re found by the crew and lose the game.

Survive all three levels and you win the game!

Fun, busy game. I had trouble distributing items sometimes or RNG costing me points. The art style was great.

If you win, 2 music tracks are playing on top of each other. Nice work, overall. These people want the strangest things.

@heyycap Oh, man. Yeah. That is 1 of the 2 small bugs that I'm aware of. At some point you just have to accept your fate and launch, though. I'm glad you liked it overall! As for the strange objects, I think my favorite is the goblin... :)

Neat game! I love how fidget spinners are still a thing in space.

Nice game! A couple things that got me confused at first: The item icons over the peoples' heads being stretched into squares lead me to not realize I had matching items. The difficulty ramps up pretty quick, I feel it took me a while to clear level 2, even.

The mechanic is fun, though. I love inventory management (things like resident evil and the sorts)

This is a neat concept, I liked how the controls felt, I also was a bit confused when just starting out, but once I started to figure things out, I was good! Great Game, and the art was really good. Great job team, glad to see your game on the list :)

Great Game! Fits well with the theme, Great Graphics. It's challenging. I did have some problem giving items, Like sometimes it will just take it and wont register it as given. other than that its a pretty fun game!

This game has an amazing "feel" to it. I thoroughly enjoyed playing it. Reminded me a lot of FTL in all the best ways. Great work.

The graphics are very great and the whole idea was nice. The theme "running out of space" is exploited very well cause the fact that inventory run out of space is really handicapping. The game is very fun but the thing I preferred is the audio and the mood. I loved this calm music and I found that she's perfecly adapted for this kind of game. I liked playing it (even if I don't beat all levels :) ). Great game !

I like everything about this game, especially the Music. It has a nice concept very well realized. I think it would benefit from some form of indicator what people will want, to be able to plan a bit. But it's very nice as is. Great submission!

It's a neat idea.

I wasn't sure what was happening sometimes when I would drag an item over to a worker and it would disappear, but I didn't get a heart. Turns out I wasn't quite hovering over them, so the item got lost. Some feedback on there would be good.

But overall I liked it, nice job!

@lexyvil Are they not a thing on Earth? ;) Lol, thanks for your comment!

@bitdecay Yeah, that is very fair feedback. If we had more time we would have had different-sized bubbles for the items that weren't 1x1 because, yeah, they do get stretched out. :( Thanks for your critiques and nice words, they're appreciated!

@beanslasher Thanks so much for your comment! I'm glad the controls felt natural to you. :)

@alien Yeah, that's fair. What's happening is that you're allowed to drag items out of the cargo hold to make more room. So if the item isn't hovered over the crew member, it will be thrown out of your inventory instead. So while it's intentional, I think making that more clear would have been a good addition to the game.

@doctormozart Awesome, thank you so much! Yeah, FTL was given to me by a team member to help me visualize the look we were going for - so you are spot on!

@synfoniz I have to give the music & SFX to our team members Noah & Lurinym. I have no idea how to do that stuff so it's very much like magic to me. They're awesome and I'm so grateful they lent their skills to this project!

@roronoacherry Thank you so much! I appreciate you giving our game a try! :)

@gord10ahmet Thank you, thanks for playing!!

@fivenamefivesocks Wow, thanks for your kind comment! It means a lot!

@dalton5000 Ooh, I like that idea! Maybe in version 2.0. I've played this game SO MANY times over the past few days and I will admit that it's sometimes frustrating to have like, 3 crew members demanding a tribble and all you get from the conveyor belt is friggin' fidget spinners. Lol. But it's still fun, I think! Thanks so much for playing and your good feedback!

@mandarad Yeah, I understand what you mean. Like I mentioned above, while it is intentional, I think making that clearer would have been a good addition to the game. :) Thanks so much for playing and your honest feedback, it's very much appreciated!!

I absolutely loved the aesthetic in this game! Reminded me a lot of Space Station 13 and I love that game. The gameplay was pretty interesting, but I will say the difficulty cranked up WAY too much in the 2nd level. I was not able to beat it. Too bad because I wanted to see the whole thing through!

It was very fun to play. The pace was just a little to fast for me to handle. I think the hit areas where you drop the items on the crew should be a little but bigger. They can be bigger then the sprites themselves. I dropped a lot of stuff next to them. The audible feedback you get for doing actions was really cool and kept me going. I now realise that i enjoy this type of gameplay more then i thought i did. I like the star trek references and the items that come out of the replicator where very cute. Good game!

Good take on the inventory management genre that I've seen a lot of this jam. It's been interesting to see what everyone's doing as the metagame to lay on top of the inventory system and you chose to have a decently hectic match game. I found myself mostly stocking up the smaller items and having 0 or 1 of the big items just cuz they took too much room. I didn't mind the drag and drop not being perfect, it actually gave me a sense of tension since I wasn't always sure if I could land the item on the person, especially if they were moving. I think that's a concept you could keep in further versions, having moving targets that are harder to land on. I really enjoyed the pace and challenge of the game, good job.
