Sacrifice cycle by wildcard

[raw]
made by wildcard for LD 43 (COMPO)

A game where you sacrifice your peers in order to reach the goal by using their remains.

Controlls are non-intuitive.

Use Q,W,E,R,T to summon a peer and launch it by holding space (or left mouse button) and then releasing it. you can sacrifice the peer in motion by pressing the space bar again (or right mouse button) and then summon another peer. You can reset each level by pressing 'p' and zoom in/out by pressing 'm'.

Several buggs are expected to show up, as I am somewhat inexperienced with the physics system of Unity...

Tell me what you think and thank you for playing my game!

Interesting idea! Not sure I quite got the hang of it yet and seemed to get stuck a couple of times but thankfully you can reset the level by pressing 'P'. Anyway, well done on getting an entry done for LD!

Not a bad idea at all, with more polishing and better controls this could be really fun.

I do really like this concept. I fell off the edge at one point and it never reset me (so I was sad I lost my level content): ) But, this is definitely one of the most unique takes on the theme I have seen and was pretty fun to mess around with. Nice entry!

Hard to understand and control at first, but an interesting idea nonetheless.

Thank you for playing @comenoha I'm happy to hear you thought it was unique. I'm sorry you lost your level content but sacrifices must be made ;D

@evanaellio Thank you for playing! I really struggled to get the controlls right here. Next time I will have to plan in advance what the player is supposed to do and decide the controlls for that early.

Overall very interesting game, despite I think the combination between 2D and 3D graphic feels a little awkward to me, and the game goal and control are not clear.

Thank you for playing @hao-tian ! Yeah, the controlls are really poorly done here, I should've added more feedback for input and stuff. Text boxes that explain things would probably go a long way as well.

Regarding the 3D-2D graphics, I think it could be improved a lot, perhaps better camera work could fix it!
