Bari - The Fisher Plane by Scruffy
Embark on the finest plane of the Adriatic sea and help villagers to get food !! The game is inspired by Porco Rosso. We tried to make a plane fishing game focused on relaxing and flying and aircraft.
Use WASD or Arrows to control the plane. Shift to boost. Space to drop your shipment.
You have to fly around the sea to spot some fishes. You can then capture them by flying close to the surface of the water. You can then bring back your shipment to the villagers. You have to bring the right color of fish to the corresponding villages.
Thanks for playing :)
A game made by Nao Argouse, Victor Depardieu, Tim Guthmann, Boris Kolimaga, and Anton Salikhov.!

The controls and general pace was just a little too slow for me but it's a really nice game.
Gameplay-wise, the arcade flight works well, but I was soon confused by the unability to pliot the plane with the mouse. The fish are a bit too fast and thus a little hard to catch for a plane that sometimes behaves strangely, but it did not prevent me from enjoying this relaxing experience.
That's unfortuante because i wanted to fly over the see to catch fish.

The fishing part looked a bit simplistic but is enough for its purpose.
Loved that relaxing mood although the turns felt too loose and slow sometimes.
Excellent work!
Now I'd say there's some improvement to be considered in other areas for next time:
-the fact it looks so good can be a good or a bad thing - it lags like crazy and makes the game really slow on my old laptop - I'll try'n check it again on my new one I'm getting this week-end if I receive it on time, but in the meantime making a game that will work properly on powerful laptops only reduces your audience, it's something to take into consideration
-the controls are too simplistic for a plane game I'd say - it's really complicated to aim correctly with "right and left" only, with the movement of the camera and all, I'd argue for this type of games, more complicated and precise controls that use more keys are better
-it's a shame you didn't invest more time in the sound design, it would have been a great occasion to make the whole thing come together, with the Porco Rosso theme and all :-D
-it's a bit odd that it's not possible to crash the plane into the environment or into the water IMO
All in all it's an impressive game, if you can come up with something as good-looking and equally impressive in the other areas of the game for next time, you'll win big for sure :-D
