  • Sometimes aloe isn't recognized by Dr. Greg :(

Thanks

Want to say thank you so much to Mike for his tremendous work every year. Thanks to this community for all of the teaching, helping, and kindness over the past year.

R.I.P to Verne Troyer (Mini Me from Austin Powers), who died during the jam. Thanks for all the laughs.

I love the game design and the low poly objects! Audio is really good and pick ups and everything else work really well! Good job dude!

Nice relaxing game. The low poly island, audio and fonts all feel very thought through. One improvement I would suggest is making the dialogue more "dating sim" then "fetch me stuff".

I’m not sure if you were able to see it, but I played your game on my stream at https://www.twitch.tv/saoigames tonight.

I could find no love and had to abandon all and save myself by swimming off into the sunset.

Dr. Greg was a real jerk. He stole the poems and refused all my gifts. I'm not sure if he was designed that way but when I couldn't find pie and the poems were indisposed I got into a locked state.

Did you know that you can walk on your ocean floor? I discovered this when I tried to get Greg some water but fell in instead.

Emo Greg is clearly the ideal selection.

The island needs invisible walls or a death plane in the water so you don't get stuck down there. Always good to assume the worst from the player, which is usually how I play. :P

The walking simulator / dating sim is a pretty compatible pair of things, since they're both styles of adventure games. I didn't have to go far to satisfy Emo Greg but maybe the other guys make me walk farther? Would have been nice to explore the island a bit more. Y'know, more "walking" in the "walking simulator."

The graphical style was neat, though, and the game worked as intended. :)

Had fun finishing each one's tasks, though the apple pie was a little bit hard to find. Liked the music. Found some little bugs that only a bad player like me could find(like falling from the island, restarting the conversation when pressing E), it didnt spoil the feel of the game tho. Liked it GG!

It's a warm spring day and the birds are chirping outside, which added to the mood a lot. The aesthetic is beautiful, and you've managed to get a lot of aesthetics and feel-good-ness out of some pretty minimal graphics.

On my first attempt through the game, I talked to everyone, then fell off the world into the water. A shallower beach or an invisible wall would have been useful, since I wasn't able to get back up. After restarting the game, I decided I'd like to make all three gregs love me, but as soon as I finished helping emo greg the game ended.

I accidentally skipped a lot of narrator text; I'm used to textboxes in games where the first click skips the text animation, displaying the whole thing, and only once all the text is displayed does a click go to the next line of dialogue. But here I either had to wait through the animation or I didn't get to read the narration.

Aside from those nitpicks I really enjoyed my time here. It's hard to pin down the mood of this game to any one component; the music, graphics, and tasks you're given all contribute to the overall feeling and I think you've done a great job here.

I couldn't Dr. Greg to accept the aloe, but it was a fun game anyways! I've got a soft spot for island survival games, so you have me hooked with the setting alone. The humor was a nice touch with the different characters. Nice job!

I loved the low poly style and was actually very impressed by the camera swoop at the beginning of the game. But bugs made it impossible for me to pick anyone but Emo Greg, who was my least-desired Greg. The dating sim stuff was a bit light, but the walking sim was handled very well. Overall a good job!
