You’re the universe’s last hope.

Ancient void creatures want to destroy the fabric of reality itself, for the void to reign once again. But with yours Dimensional Stabilizer and your weapon, it’s your job to defend the universe. Just be careful to not waken the sleeping beast.

Tutorial:

The area affected by the Stabilizers decreases when the enemies attack it, or when the turrets arrond shots, you can use your energy bar to restore the Stabilizers by shooting at then.

Avoid the enemies, they can hit you, and do not go to the dark.

Enemies drop energy orbs that the player can pick it up, or if it’s close enough the Stabilisers can pick as well, restoring it’s life.

Placing more Stabilizers consumes half of your energy bar.

Great ambiance and juicy game !
Loved the song and camera shake.
but it gets pretty repeatitive tho :/

Nice game! really liked the atmosphere, gameplay and audio, but I agree with @antoined73, it's quite repetitive, it would benefit from having more types of enemies and more gameplay elements

The design and aesthetic is great. The music is lovely and the camera reactions and effects when killing enemies are wonderful. Little variation bogs it down a little, perhaps the inclusion of different enemy variants could reduce the repetitiveness.

Really enjoyed this one - and definitely wasn't expecting the boss fight, that was a really nice surprise.
I think the ramp-up was a bit too slow though - 1500 enemies is a lot.
I also found that placing no extra Stabilizers was the way to win this easily. I could just stay in one place and pulverize the enemies as they hit the center.

Still, really polished game for a jam.

@cpone Thanks for the feedback :) The original concept would have 3 types of enemies, but the time wasn't enoutgh :/

Great choose of music. The graphics are good with the univers you built. The game have a good level of polishing. But it's too repetitive. No special enemies, the same pattern, the same weapon... The game is the same until you get overflowed by enemies. The gameplay offer no veritable challenge, but have the potential to do it so.

Really nice concept and visualization. Gameplay and audio was great. Though I expected to have more type of enemies, this is not boring at all! And also liked that camera shaking.

This is fantastic! Love the look and feel of it, and the music adds a lot of intensity. It's super hard - I have no idea how you got up to 1500; by around 100 I was permanently low on energy. Still, great job!

Nice level of polish, the controls and the shooting feel great. Really lets you feel like a hero when a core is being overwhelmed and you go clear it out, with everything exploding and shaking. Got a bit tired of holding down the mouse button all the time though, not clear why I would ever stop shooting. If I never have to stop shooting, why am I holding down a button to shoot?

Oh Wow! I like the art style, typically something I would love to create myself;
a bit more enemy variation would have been great, it's a bit hard to play at first as it seemed the enemies simply died when thoughing the player.

Yet, love all the effort that's been put in this one!
Great job.

Nice game! The controls feel good and smooth, and I especially love the graphics! It's a little repetitive though, but it doesn't matter, good job! :)

This game made me feel that switch between "I'll survive!" and "Ok this is hopeless, I'm going down but I'm taking all of you f*ckers with me!" and I loved it. Nice sound design, nice simplistic design. I killed 13XX of them and I'm happy.
Minor flaw: I had no idea when or why I could drop another Dimensional Stabilizer. Could be something to add later on if you still want to work on the game.

PS: I clicked on your game because your graphics made me think a LOT of ours and it turns out the games aren't similar at all  Come check us out !

@eclahn Glad to now you liked. You can place the stabilizen when yours energy bar is at least half full and its not to close to another stabilizer, I agree that lacks tha information in the game, but time was tight :/ If you want to play one more time try to get to 1500 enemies killed, there is a boss fight. Again, glad you liked :)

Good simplistic graphics and pretty sound, solid gameplay. Almost got to get 1k enemies killed :p
It would be better to have more enemy/weapon types in a game. I think this has great potential outside of LD.
One of the games that has really polished controls also.

Fun game! Maybe the charcater could auto-shoot so we don't have press the mouse button during de whole game? The final boss is quite easy, once the little guys are dead, you just have to stay static and shoot him. Bonus point for Gustav Holst music. :-)
The graphical aspect of the game is really beautiful!

Well made graphically, it gets repetitive quite fast seeing as the enemies only attack the center you can just fly in circles shooting all the time and seemingly never die.

Interesting, even if I am not very skilled at shooting things (i think that's why I made a shmup without shoot)

Beautiful and minimalistic art, love it. Is there any advantage to have more than 1/3/5 Stabilizers? Overall this game is interesting to play. More strategic options would make the gameplay more deep. Like if I had two types of buildings to place -- the first helps to collect energy faster, the second -- more strong in a defense. Also have you considered adding zoom-on-scroll option?

Great game guys... Got a final score of 1079. The effects are well done and the graphics as well. Sadly, the gameplay doesnt really feel right, i think real projectiles instead of a beam could be better :) And a second weapon (a blast or something like that) could be added to improve the game. But it was quite enjoyable anyways, so thanks to you guys for creating this in the competition!

A very nice shooter with a minimalist look like I like them! I think a little more variety in the weapons and the enemies could have improved even more the gaming experience even if the gameplay is already nervous and fun! Great job!
