A really well executed game. The puzzle design in this is great. In a longer verison of the game, I would love to see the mechanics that are introduced towards the end get a little more breathing room to reach their full potential.

Really enjoyable. In many levels I had to stop for a few minutes and think about a good strategy.

I wish I could play this! Let me know if you make a web or Mac build.

Just an fyi: Windows 10 download via google chrome failed due to virus detected. Could just be an overactive anti-virus.

FYI, I had to manually install OpenAL on Windows 7.

Alas, it doesn't render in my VM, which makes it difficult to play! This looks really cute and interesting, too.

Very nice! Novel mechanics that made for a nice progression of just-right puzzles, plus good game feel, graphics, sound and music. It's the whole package.

There's nothing to complain about, everything's on point. Maybe the level transitions didn't need the enter key, which verrrry slightly broke the flow of playing, but that's nothing.

Very enjoyable, I played to the end - great job!

I always like these types of games. Its a very tried and true concept that Ive seen since the early days of flash on places like Newgrounds. I really think you could very easily expand on this game and flesh it out with its own personality and release it. You'd just need to build out the graphics and gameplay mechanics a bit. But since you're in space you have a veritable forest of references to draw from. Like portals, sentry robots, and even black holes that arc your characters trajectory. I think you should run with this concept.

Beyond that the gameplay in this version is basic but I didn't have any performance issues. It played well and recorded real well. I think the only thing I was really disappointed by was just the lack of space artwork in the background. Space is super easy to do. Just toss in some stars, a little UFO that wanders in the background and you're golden. But thats a pretty minor criticism.

You can see more of my thoughts in the video I made which showcases Asteroid Hopper. You can see it here:

I love it, but feels a bit empty at times. Could've used more graphical elements, especially since you sort of tease us with the existing pixel art being so smooth.

You made a really nifty puzzler with some great graphics and sound. Well done :)

Excellent puzzler, did exactly what it needed to and kept things fresh. The only thing that bugged me was the occasional long load time after dying, but that was only because I wanted to keep tryimg.

Great little puzzler. I completed it and enjoyed my experience, and wished there had been a little more! One more mechanic to add to the others would have been perfect in my view, but time is always against us. Also, for me the pixelated text was a little hard to read, but as there is not much of it, it didn't significantly effect the game. Thanks for your fun game!

Nice little puzzle! The levels were all pretty easy, but I know it's hard to focus a lot of time on level design with such a tight schedule... :P

Maybe the "one way portal" at the last level should've had an image to indicate where it leads, even if it were a different image. The way it is right now the player can't plan ahead, since they won't know where the portal leads.

By the way, thanks for the feedback on Little Scout and kudos for using SFML too! :)

Wow great game. it shows that some good effort went into game design and eloquently presenting new game play mechanics to the player as you progress through the game.

Awesome game! This is one of my favorites so far. The game has great pacing, especially with the introduction of new mechanics. The solid pixel art and the small effects made it even more enjoyable. Well done!

It's good you have some additional mechanics (telepots, breakable rocks) to this common puzzle basis. Level design is perfect to me with this kind of difficulty curve. And even tutorial levels, nice!

Music fits the mood and style. It was fun to play. Thank you!

[The Mother of All Games](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/the-mother-of-all-games) by @sorceress has the similar puzzle but with a bit harder levels.

Really fun game! I spent way too long on the last level and almost gave up until my brother solved it for me xD In other words, I think the level of difficulty was good! You also did a great job of introducing the new mechanics to the game. The graphic style is very beautiful and clean. Overall I think it's very well polished and fun game, and I wish there was more levels! Well done!

Excellent game! Its a simple and fun mechanic that is perfectly executed by scaling the difficulty and introducing new elements. Normally I would add a suggestion for improvement here but I can't think of any :p

I always love this type of puzzle (there was one similar in pokemon silver xD). You did a personal design to this idea with the breakable stones, portals and dangerous blocks.

I enjoy the game until the end, even when I was afraid of the difficulty with all different object in the same level I could reach the end, so you did a great difficulty progression.

With other art style you could put this game in mobile platforms without problems. Great game and good job!

I really enjoy this type of game, and yours is really nicely made! The cute art style works perfect with the good sounds! I would like to see your game on mobile, and I want more level! It is a really nice compo game, congratulation for your amazing work!

This was really cool. Not the most innovative game out there, but you really nailed the 8-bit atmosphere. The puzzles were hard, but they made perfect sense and it really felt like there was only one way to solve it, so solving them felt really good. 15 levels, too... That's a lot for 48 hours. Nice work, I had a blast.

There's a lot of potential in that puzzle game, loved the realization and the mechanics, really worth my time. Thanks

Super fun! Simple and varying with the introduced mechanics. Well made for 48 hours. The enter key pressing between levels what a tiny bit annoying though.

This is by far my favourite entry! The simplicity of it all, the progression, the fact that each move counts, the way new elements are introduced... it's really well thought out, and satisfying! A game "based" on Pokemon's ice puzzles? Gimmie Gimmie! This core-gameplay focus is what this world needs.

Only thing I didn't like, was the last level, because it's not that clear how the lonely portal works, but I guess it was somehow rushed and that's why it doesn't have the progression/feature presentation of the rest of the game. When you finally figure that one out, is as satisfying as ever, though! The graphics and the music need polish too, but they work (specially the graphics). Great work!!

A really interesting little game with some genuinely difficult lateral thinking puzzles! The art, although minimalist, was consistent and looked great overall. The music fit the game and set the mood perfectly.

I suppose the worst thing that I can say about it is that it didn't match the theme particularly strongly (although I can definitely see where you were coming from), but other than that, really fun to play and generally well executed!

Keep it up!

Great game! The difficulty ramped up really well. The last level is missing the second pink portal! Only other complain is the text is difficult to read. Great level design! Good job.

Very clever puzzle game!
Mechanics aren't very original, but it's cool that have variations...
And the game design is cool! It took me and I was sad that it ends...
Bravo!

I played this on Livestream Today at the request of the Developer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zCqO_O0iIo

Fantastic puzzle game, very glad you submitted this game to the stream. I really enjoyed the puzzles, I think this would make a great mobile tablet game with swipe controls! I hope you move forward with developing it!

Really well done. Nice aesthetic and pixel art. The main gameplay is addictive. It fits with the theme. The breakable rocks were a good idea. It could be interesting to do a full game for mobile devices using this first attempt. Thumbs up ++

Intuitive controls. Have you thought about porting this idea to mobile and have the game react to the current rotation of the phone?

I think it could be pretty cool to change the 'gravity direction' by rotating the phone around :-P

The puzzle design here is very cool. My only complaint, and it's a pretty minor one, is that with all the clean pixel art, having anti-aliasing on the text made my eyes leak blood. Just a little bit.

I'm joking, of course (though if you can turn of the text anti-aliasing, please do!). Kudos on a well-constructed game!

Man this game is hard! But definitely in a good way, most games made for LD you can beat in 2-3 minutes max, this one took about 1 hour, props to you for designing such great puzzles! The visuals are very nice, soundtrack is very spacey and calming, which I like a lot! Overall this game is awesome, and more importantly I think you could easily expand it into a full release and be successful with it, would love to see that!

Classic puzzle game but well executed. The music is nice and the pixel art looks good, maybe the broken/semi-broken rocks are a bit hard to differentiate. The game is really smooth and fun to play, great job!
