Spacepants X by kallotec
A man's quest to find his pants, in space, again.

This time round I've decided my challenge was to redevelop my LD35 entry using my own game dev framework instead of Unity. The game's rather similar to the last, but has it's own unique challenges. But that being said, I don't expect any votes, this was more a personal challenge!
It is a Windows-only game, download is about 22mb.

This is a pretty good game. The controls are fluid, although regular jumping seems kinda superfluous. The jet-pack handles well, though I didn't get very far since you go back to the beginning of the game whenever you die. Maybe having checkpoints and limited lives would help. I do think that the audio and visuals are nice. I particularly like the way that some platforms light up when you land on them; it's very satisfying. Apparently this is a redux of a previous Ludum Dare game, which shows because it doesn't seem to have much at all to do with this Ludum Dare's theme. For what it is, I enjoyed my time with this game.

I Agree with the above commentor, the game badly needs checkpoints upon death. The long iteration times added a great deal of frustration to the gameplay. The controls were decent, and it looks like you have some good ideas graphically that I would love to see a little more polish on.
