Run Ning out of Power, Montana by jekstrom

Mr. Ning is terrorizing small rural communities in the midwest, and it's up to you to run him out of town.
Use your mouse to point and shoot, and WASD to move around.
Run Ning out of Power, Montana is a top down wave shooter. There are three types of enemies: normal henchmen, Mr. Ning, and Ning in a tank. There are 5 waves of increasing difficulty. Finish all 5 waves to win the game.
The graphics are horrible, but they get the job done, I think. I suck at drawing.

Wouldn't want to be a street cleaner in Power, Montana.
Couple things I would suggest: Enemy AI was too predictable (although I know AI can be hard and daunting so it's not a big deal), and the enemies have too much health. I'd much prefer it if the enemies took 4-5 shots to kill, but there were much more of them.
It's impressive non the less and a blast to play
The enemies don't really have "AI". They literally just track onto the player and shoot, heh. So it's no wonder they are predictable. Maybe next time it will be more sophisticated.
I am glad that it is fun though!
++ The music was well done. It had that 'gangsta' feel to it. Coupled with the gunshot sounds, it felt like I was actually 'cleaning' the streets.
+++ I was surprised at the variety of weapons in the first few seconds of play. Trying each one out was a lot of fun.
Thanks for the exciting game. Great job!
But, anyway: Well done!
I liked the variety of weapons and the art was actually kinda charming. Reminded me of the days of old flash games when stick figures were the norm. It is time for stick figures to rise again!
Anyways, music went well, sound effects were passable. I had the same problem it seems a couple of other had which was that controls for mouse clicking became unresponsive, but I'll chalk that up to web port tom foolery.
Was fun!
Thanks for playing!
It is a well implemented survival game that is good for a Ludum Dare game. The art was pretty decent for a non-artist and they worked well for this game. Since the style was consistent there wasn't really a problem. The problem is when there is too much contrast between some elements in a game (my game would be a good example of this haha). You managed to provide pretty good gameplay with all the required components of a game (sound effects, music, gameplay, well implemented game mechanics, smooth controls and even a tutorial).
Of course if you wanted to make it a more interesting survival game you could have added a leaderboard using a simple tool such as dreamlo.com but that is of course not a necessity.
You did a good job with this game, hope to see you in the next Ludum Dare
