Junk Dealerz by Lodugh
* Hey, we made a "trashy" game!*
Well we do think it actually got pretty good but there is definitely a lot of trash in it. Its a top-down fighting game with roguelite elements, lots of items and a bartering mechanic, set in a post apocalyptic wasteland. Try it out if you want!

The art is really nice as well!
About the difficulty: I actually wanted it to be hard so that you have to try again around five times and learn a bit in every run. However maybe its too hard? I'm not sure but I guess I am not allowed to upload any changes other than bugfixes anyway. However I will keep in mind to make it a little easier in the long run.
@aflatthrasher Yes its a hunger bar and maybe its a little fast but if you trade a few food items from one of the traders you should be able to survive.
@mrsylar59 Theres is one trader on the map who sells some healing items.
I especially enjoyed the intro cut scene (although the frames were almost a bit to fast to read)!
Really dug the art style and overall design. It took me a while to get the hang of the mechanics, but then it was pretty fun!
I didn't quite understand what to do with the boss. I stabbed the bastard like 15 times but he didn't seem to care. Then I got killed by a spider :)
Still very enjoyable game!
I really dug it ! It's not really an incredible take on the theme, as we're indeed running quickly out of space but we can easily manoeuver around it (you just need to eat and heal after all :D), but the overall game is incredible ! Art is marvelous, sound and music fit perfectly well, and the you did a very good effort to create an atmosphere that was very unique. The intro scene is also a very good touch that adds originality and personality to your effort.
I felt like playing a mix'up between Nuclear Throne and LiSa. If you don't know both of these games, check them out, you might like them !

@devemil Well yeah, the plan with the theme was actually to have even more items where it would have been even harder to decide what to to do with the place you have. However it seemed hard to make it that way without that it gets annoying.
@jeke Would have loved to improve the UI, but yeah its really time intensive and there was always more important stuff.
@larryseinfeld Yeah I'm really happy that we got the random characters working! The wheelchair guy is the best :D.
@awesomealliterationalliance Well the boss really isn't very much thought through, we were out of time and just needed some kind of ending. He is definitely very hard without a ranged weapon.
@demn Great that you enjoyed it that much :). Nuclear Throne was definitely an inspiration and this Lisa game really looks interesting. @konsumopfer77 would probably like it! Thanks for the recommendation.
@mrsylar59 @wesxdz @mahalis A better tutorial is definitely a good point, thank you for pointing that out! However I also planned a more intuitive UI which should already help alot.

@zuhairghias yeah, i made the font in like 15 minutes with an free web-tool, cause i wanted to have an unique selfmade one for the game but its almost humans right violation to make people read a text written with it. there will be one who is nice to read in the next version of the game.
First go. Had trouble with the controls, the boss arrived and the blow darts didn't seem to damage him... Dead!
Second go. Figured out the controls; they are not great, *more on that later*. Explored half the map before the boss arrived. Managed to trap it behind a wall up north. Explored the rest of the map. The best ranged weapon I could find: **a bag of chips!** What! Fine, nearly ran out of food, but did triumph over the moose man... A sudden ending; well, better than no ending.
The controls, the controls. Top strangeness: *escape for inventory?* Haven't seen that in a long while. How about Tab or Q? Another, more complicated, UI improvement would be drag and drop for the menus. That is on the post-jam list, right?
Other than that, pretty impressive. The visual style is high quality and consistent; exploring the world is interesting (the first time around at least); and, ah, even the combat is functional (lots of kiting, yet the variety of enemy movement patterns keeps it real).

Many of you pointed out that the tutorial and UI should be improved and I definitely agree with you. I am working on a post-jam version already!
@huvaakoodia Hey, thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! Most of what you pointed out turned out like that due to time constraints but hearing it again reminds me and definitely makes me aware of it a bit more! I am glad that you still liked it that much :).
@unfinished I had planned that but didn't get it working as I wanted right away, so its delayed to the post-jam version. I know how annoying it can be to get interrupted while trading :D.
I like the doodly art style.
Tried the web version, got an AK but every time I tried to trade the character just walk himself off and not let me trade.
