Kind of simply written, but it's a great concept and a good story. Nice fit with both themes without feeling forced. Plus cute art and a suitable colour scheme.\r<br\/>\r<br\/>SPOILER\r<br\/>\r<br\/>\r<br\/>\r<br\/>I like how both endings were very happy. I stumbled onto it randomly, and while I was playing it I remembered that I also played and enjoyed your "HCF" game from Twiny Jam. Quite a contrast in tones between HCF and this, which really demonstrates your versatility as a writer. In both cases, I really like the way you end your stories with explicit questions that prompt the player to consider or imagine additional details on their own."},{"author_name":"Brightstar","author_uid":"46680","time":"Jan 2, 2016 @ 11:43pm","epoch":1451777880,"text":"This is a great game. Made with Twine.\r\n\r\nThis was inspired by the game Crazy Plant Shop, in which certain plants have the faces of animals (cacti have cat faces, bunions have bunny faces, etc.), and the fact that people need to hear that someone cares. Plus, I really like owls. I hope you do, too!\r\n\r\nI incorporated the \"growing\" theme with the growing of the plant, and you could argue that the \"two button controls\" theme is there because there are only two choices on the screen at one time? Would that count?\r\n\r\nThere was a lot I wanted to do in this game that got scrapped because of time--I had no time during the weekend, so this was made in the last four hours in Ludum Dare. I'm honestly not sure if it's any good, and it's probably not for everyone, but it's a game I needed to make, and I hope it can help someone.\r\nI look forward to your comments. Thank you for playing.","title":"Comfort Owl"}
