Black Friday - is small crowd manipulation simulator with Top-down shooter elements.

History

You are a consultant in the store on probation. You need at any cost to prove to the boss that you can bring money.

Today is the first day at your work

Unfortunately, you're out of luck, and today is Black Friday.

To earn good money, you need to provide customers with goods. But not everyone wants to buy. The store is small, and there is not enough space for everyone.Therefore, you will need to make sure that as many customers as possible made purchases and left the store.

Rules:

  • Your task is to bring as many usual visitors as possible to the exit. 1 dude = 1$
  • You only have 2 minutes
  • Demons do not want to buy anything - they can be killed from a shotgun
  • If you kill 8 good buyers - you lose
  • The "police whistle" scares everyone and allows you to control the crowd

A little about developing

The game was made by two members of OkayStudios. The game was based on experience and some of the latest studio developments that were used in Liberator TD (Top Down Shooter + Tower Defence) All 2D was taken from open sources. This Ludum Dare is our first.

We are very interested in whether you like the prototype and why.

The PNJ are totaly stupids :3
I had a big pile of white pnj, the ones down wanted to go up, the one at the top wanted to go down. And nothing can move ...
The delay to use your gun is too hight.
You press the key, and your character fire a second later. You had the time to make a 360 no scope and having a successfull headshot :p
The idea is cool

Lesson #1: avoid using a shotgun in a crowded area.

This game is a good simulator of life: you can sit still and do nothing, or you can be active and end up in jail. =) Cool concept and hilarious character design!

A very well-put game. I very like the core idea and take on the theme. It reminds me of something from the gta2 era. Good job!

Great idea, and cool take on the theme ! I though that the client swarm mechanic was quite well implemented, and that the various powerups/actions were nice. Reducing both the whistle and gun cooldown would make crowd control a little easier.

Loved the swarm idea, and it's cool to watch (and cool to see you managed to get that many AIs working smoothly.) Like others I thought the character movement was a bit floaty and slow, and the shotgun is generally too slow and doesn't feel quite right- needs to be faster, & possibly give a bit more feedback to the player so that you can get a better idea about what's going to get hit. Someone said 'racist' which I thought was a bit strong but you do have to be careful about white = good guy, non-white = bad guy in 2018. Good job overall though & well done =)

Graphics and Sound are a bit scary, but also cute. I like the delay of the gun. It feels heavy shot. I scored 27. Nice entry!

Actually, I saw the screenshots and it caught my eye, but when I played it, I'm sorry but was quite disappointed!
It needed more challenge! The graphics look cool and funny but the gameplay is terrible! Also, there is no mood set, maybe a cool music or just a sound for the clock to encourage the player to play faster as the time runs out!
