"Source code https://pplorux.itch.io/skatensnipe" should be changed to "HTML5 + link", it was a 10% chance that I click the link but I don't regret it. Cool musik and you get 5 Stars for Humor because of "2 Cyber Terrorists and 20 Civilians killed, the president will be proud." :D

Until tonight I had never though of skating and sniping together but your game shows the combination works just right. The game is a bit rough around the edges, but the main functionality is there. I like how you have to switch between scoping and jumping. Maybe it would be fun to be able to do tricks while in the air?

Yes @RadioactiveRambo, it was part of the plan but unfortunately I ran out of time.
Thank you for checking out the game! Cheers

LOL I absolutely love the concept and music. The game is a bit rough around the edges, but it's a jam game after all. Some of the enemies were bugged, and it wasn't particularly easy to get past some of the gaps. But it was fun nonetheless.

It is indeed rough around the edges @David Boeger ! I spent the first 2 days making a point and click / plateformer but it just wasn't funny. So I changed everything on the last day. Thank you for playing!

This was a really clever idea! I had way more fun than I thought I was gonna have honestly. Realizing you had to swap ideas near the end, you definitely pulled through! Great job!

That game was really fun and hilarious, not a bad game especially for pivoting on the last day!

As is, this is a really good example of meeting the theme's requirements and a relatively fun entry. I think it needs a little meat added to the visuals and for sure needs some audio controls but all round, cool game.

Fun entry!

 What I loved
* The concept was funny
* The funny music in the background and fits perfect

:thought_balloon: My thoughts:
* I felt like the jumping felt out of place since the move & stop are UI buttons. Either go full keyboard, or full UI
* Needs to be more juicy
* I feel like you should be able to zoom anywhere. Thoughts?

Good job man!

It's a really nice idea! There were some frustrating things like my skateboard getting stuck in a ramp a few times and some targets just not dying despite being directly under cursor - also it was hard to tell when I was jumping right. If this was being made into a more advanced game in the future it would be cool to do skate board tricks whilst jumping to earn style points and stuff :D But a decent effort, with some refinement could have something really fun :)

It's a fun little game. Maybe it would be fun to balance the two parts a bit more, now you only die from failing the jumps but maybe you could also die from not killing the terrorists. But anyway that's just an idea for extending it, it's already quite fun considering the short development time.

Enjoyed this game, I like the idea a lot. One needs to measure shooting, with avoiding falls.

This kind of reminds me of those on-the-rails shooters like Time Crisis, except with skateboarding. It'd be interesting to look at other obstacles other than jumps, maybe barrels, or airborne projectiles.

This has a ton of potential!

Easy to jump into. I think bullet projectiles would have been more satisfying to shoot at targets

Concept and mechanics are good! The stop button helps me to focus on my target, but on the other side it could be fun to always move and focus on target while jumping. Good job!

I think the move and stop buttons are a little bit unnecessary with out some sort of timer. I'd have liked to see more shooting mechanics like fire rate and reloading to force you to make a few more decisions. Otherwise a cool game idea, well done.

Great idea! It's fun, though it gets repetitive after a while - as a few other folks mentioned, some kind of difficulty curve would be good. Fantastically catchy music. Nice work!

Having to click Move/Stop was a bit frustrating. Since we use space to jump anyhow, it would have been nice to use D to move forward and A to stop, or just release D to stop. I liked that the game basically forces you to snipe while airborne, though. Felt pretty badass.

Good concept, but the controls were lacking. I got stuck on the edge of a building over one of the long jumps.

A pretty creative blend of genres! Unfortunately I got stuck on my third jump in---I came up short, landing against the side of the building and couldn't move further. I reloaded and tried again, but the same thing happened a little further ahead. I completed the game on my third attempt. Also, like pother people have said, the big buttons on screen could have used corresponding keybinds instead.

I liked that some terrorists were hidden unless you jumped, that made it more interesting. The music set a nice arcade-like vibe.

Genuinely had a lot of fun playing this, the music was over the top and silly as was the concept. Visuals were pretty simple but this reminded me a lot of the old shooting games on Miniclip, nice work dude!

Wow, this music was so energetic, that i haven't even noticed that the terrorist are not actually threatening. That's sad though, that you wasn't able to implement some game logic for terrorist. Add an ability for terrorists to shoot back and some low poly models, and this game would be just great!

This a fun little game, but for me the game would have been harder and more fun, if the movement speed had been faster. The graphics is nothing special, but the music was pretty good. Overall this was a fine LD game. Well done.

Very simple graphics but very nice idea! Good music! I think that the game would be more challenging if you could move costantly, with the impossibility to stop! Good work

Really fun game, liked the genres you chose. It would be nice if u could move on the keyboard instead of just clicking on move. But really a nice and fun idea. Good work

Neat idea! The music is really good! The graphics of course could be better, but they work. Jumping feels a bit rough and the movement speed could be higher. Also I totally forgot you could stop the skateboard again :D
The intro is just hilarious! So bad, it's good again :D

All in all a good entry!

Thank you guys for taking the time to play and comment :)
So far I had received some pretty interesting feedbacks and suggestions.
Here's what I have gathered (short version):

-remove UI
-improve jumping
-add gameplay mechanics to jumping and shooting
-add difficulty

I took time to think about @croewens suggestion about being able to zoom anywhere but I like the fact that the targets are on screen for a short time.

Cheers!

Love the idea, but music is not my kind of thing :)
Regardless it's still a lot of fun although its very easy to win but since this is the first level i'm guessing the challenge would ramp up
Good Job :)

Try mine, much more challenging but for all the wrong reasons :)

The concept of the game is interesting. Congratulations for the work and for being able to finish the game in the time of the jam.

I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.

I hope you continue with the project.

This game is hilarious. The Gameplay worked well, but it could be improved by making the player aim at the spot where they press the right button and making the left button more reactive I often missed a shoot or two, because it simply did not react. Nevertheless good Game.

Pretty interesting - I thought it would've worked even better if it was more of an infinite thing than getting a mission report at the end. Some actual funny animations to people dying would do wonders with that background music too! Good job overall.

It was alright, favorite part was the music. Was no challenge to the game and the art was very plain. I would suggest having moving targets or targets closer together to civilians for added challenge.

Pretty fun idea, i had trubble knowing if my jump was working or not, mby giving the player some feedback (or letting him jump even when he dont have to) would give it a perfect efect!

Great game dude - considering the time limit. From my experiance, I didn't use the stop and move buttons at all. Found it much more fun shooting on the go. Also, I would suggest considering the red blocks attacking back somehow.

I have to say this is the best game I've seen so far in this Ludum Dare! I love everything about this game! 5/5 how you mix both genres, and how focusing on one, distracts you from focusing on the other. Our game plays with the same principle. I also like the music and the humor of your game. And the way the enemies are easily understood only color without any more detail. I never used the button stop. And hope, it weren't there. For it's fun trying to control on both things at the same time, without pausing. Thank you so much for this unbelievable game!!!!!! :) As I said, my favourite so far.
