StarClick: RTS + Clicker by Lerg
A mix of Real Time Strategy and Clicker.
Fight the aliens and gather resources with the clicking mechanics.
MagicaVoxel graphics, microphone sfx, generated music and lots of Lua code for the Defold game engine.
Report any bugs, I will try to fix them.

Hopefully SC2 players won't break the game with their insane APM.
@TheZingThing much appreciated. A lot of features were cut down to speed up the development, another idea I had was to click for ammo and a special clicking unit, that was clicking on everything it could.
I had problems with music on the HTML5 version (firefox) but other than that it was fun.

I think it will be better if production menu was on screen the whole time and units didn't lose focus after command
Visual style is awesome
Good graphics and concept. Pretty innovative to combine a game like cookie clicker with an RTS. Although I didn't understand at first that you have to click to gather resources.
Another issue I had was that when I created a tower from the heavy factory it spawned on the left side of the building which was blocked off and so I couldn't use my tower. Having some way to delete buildings or making sure units don't spawn in blocked off areas would be good.
Great game with a nice polish
Excellent graphics and music, quite innovative as well
Love it.
All in all, nice job. All hail Lua.
Gameplay-wise I had a couple of issues with the controls that could stem from habit or expectations set when you've already played other RTS (I'm super far from an expert on the genre, but I've played quite a few for a long time):
* When I selected a construction (*Place*, most of the time), the fact that the selection reset every time was a bit annoying, specially at the beginning. I was expecting to keep doing the same, and it took me a while that to bring back the construction menu you had to click on the base again.
* Speaking of which, I had issues trying to "cancel" a placement action, even when there was a very obvious "Cancel" button on the panel . This is a clear case of that RTS habit. In other gamees you normally cancel by clicking on empty spaces or things like that.
Since this is pretty subjective after all I'm not sure if it would make sense to just make the "Cancel" button stand out more when available, or place it closer to the buttons so they appear connected.
* I think I noticed a small bug: I'm not sure if it was because some of my units were actually long ranged and they deleted it, but I got the impression that one of the enemy units just disappeared out of a sudden.
Despite the wall of text I really enjoyed playing. Most of these things are subjective or could be relatively easy to sort out, and the core of the game already works really well, so I can see the potential.
Congrats!
## Big update
Hey, I've just made a big update of the game. Mostly bug fixes and balance changes based on your feedback. So if you would like to, please play the game again and tell me how you like it now.
So the whole experience should be much smoother now. Still controls are not as convenient as in StarCraft, for instance no rectangular selection of multiple units, but hey, it's a clicker, just click more!
Thank you guys for your feedback, I enjoy very much your kind comments. I just love it when people play my games and like them.
## Balance changes
- Most of the levels are redesigned to make them more interesting.
- The game is much harder now.
- Many units have been adjusted (health, speed, attack).
- Auto Click now clicks twice as fast.
- Plates cost less.
- Factory and Heavy Factory cost more.
- Robot is not that tall anymore.
## New controls
- Units are controlled with right click now.
- It's now possible to pan the camera with right click drag.
- Added F and L keyboard actions (toggle fullscreen and restart level).
## Bug fixes
- Huge performance improvement (reworked starfield shader). Now works in Chrome.
- Resizing the game window and going fullscreen is now possible.
- Unit spawning is now more logical.
- Wasn't possible to switch unit attack target if it was nearby.
- Build menu now stays open if unit is deselected or a building is placed.
- Unit is not deselected on command.
- Hovercraft is now easier to select.
- Now possible to select enemy units and buildings.
- Health and attack values are now visible on select.
- Camera shake is now working when a building is destroyed.
- Some sounds had a delay.
- Many more small fixes and little enhancements.

The only thing is that doesn't seem so incompatible as clicking for harvesting resources is something common but the game is great.
Nice work!
Nicely executed and clever design -- great well-rounded compo entry!
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.
