not to shabby the html5 seemed stable enough. graphics remind me of older style games, music and sound effects where good, alot of words and reading...maybe if I wasn't playing so many games that would not bother me as much. I do like the whole looking at the dead body piece and the shooting was fun. not a bad little game.

The html5 didnt run for me (couldn't load index), but the executable worked just fine. Fairly short and straightforward, I wish there'd been clues to find in the environment (or maybe I just missed them?), but the humor was totally on point and the point and click bits had some pretty solid art.

Tis a solid submission!

Error on the html5 version 'Failed loading file 'index.wasm'
Windows 64bits : Chrome Version 65.0.3325.181 (64 bits)

So I play on the windows version ;)
I like it :) It's fun to play and controls are goods.
Graphics are great.

It's just a little weird that there are no music or sounds during the dialogs/investigation phase. And enemies are really easy to kill.

But it's quite a good jam game ^^

Hmm, it looks like a game i would really like, but the HTML5 version doesn't play for me, it just skips all the dialogue and walks forward. I think something is messed up with the input. I'll keep this one in my pocket and come back if you can iron out the bugs. Thanks for the review on my game.

Good game, but I didn't like the platformer part, it wasn't well balanced. But the overall experience was fun, graphics and music are great, and it's funny

Waaat abrupt end? What happens next??? xD

To be honest the metroidvania part of the game wasn't too impressive - but it's not bad enough to become a bother. The detective part was pretty good though, got me all curious and thinking even though there's no event of import yet.

Good writing! Platforming didn't do it for me, but I really liked the idea and got hooked right off the bat.

The movement systems didn't feel great and had quite a few issues, but the writing was great and I like the concept as well.

It's short, but a great start. The writing and characters are fantastic and the concept is very clever. The metroidvania parts are a little awkward and there were a lot of times where enemies could only be reached at a downward diagonal from me.

Overall though, if it can maintain the mystery throughout the whole game then Metroid Prime 4 will definitely have been worth the wait.

Mystery game at its core - nicely done. But I'm too bad at platformers :) Nice ambience throughout whole game, and that's what important.

Fucking hilarious writing. Really cool screens that allow you to investigate crime scenes as well. This game does a lot right and a few things wrong. With a little polish and some minor design changes, this is sure to be a solid title worth paying for.

Hilarious stuff! Especially like the spinning and crouching art for some reason. Quite an odd combination of games but I guess it somehow works. My minor quibble would be that the metroidvania didn't have much in terms of what I'd expect a pure metroidvania to have e.g. increasing power of the character over time, but I guess the metroid part came through pretty strongly. Good job!

Hi! I play your game and I love the graphics, the pixel art is so cool, I'm jealous! In my opinion It is difficult to jump and shoot at the same time but is a good game! I hope to see you soon! :D

HTML5 version is broken, but the windows version worked just fine. I think this was a very clever blend of two genres and your dialog plays to it masterfully. Your graphics, sounds, and mechanics all play together quite nicely as well. I think that the platforming aspect of this could have used a little more fleshing out but the core game loop is very clear. I hope to see this one continue post-jam!

The writting was gold, first 5 on humour so far I guess. The level design wasn't tho, like really not O_O". Also the extreme repition of the same tile was a bit offputting even if most of the art was fine.

It felt a bit empty at the beginning without any music or sound effects. The music once it started was fine but the sfx was a bit loud and annoying.

The minigames were cool and it's neat you managed to build them, but the main gameplay wasn't great, like okay but nothing mind blowing. However including a platformer part with the current state of the controls was truly evil.

Too bad you didn't have time to finish, the intrigue had some potential. If you feel like working more on it post jam that could be cool.

Hah! Had some good laughs with it and enjoyed the writing and the story that the end was quite jarring. Here's also my video where I'm trying my best at doing funny voices. One day late, Jupi beat me again to it! ;)

Pretty neat! It sure made me giggle ^^# I men from the description you wrote in this page it looks like you're very much aware of your game's shortcomings so I won't elaborate too much on this but for all these faults, it gave me a good time and for this I say... good job, matey... Or whatever they say... Oh, you got my point ^^#
