A nice simple idea, I would have liked some escalation where the cards move around the screen to make it even harder still and pushed it further. Good job!

@loudrasiel Thank you!

@wisstopher I appreciate it! Yeah I agree that would have been a good way to make it harder.

Nice Game. It put a little pressure on you from 4 cards to choose from. Nice and simple concept! Well done. Good job!

The graphics and audio were nice, but the gameplay didn't have much to it.

The music was nice, the graphics were okay, but most importantly the game was actually fun. I've seen a lot of super-polished games this ludum dare that were perfect in every way-except in actually being fun. A nice but short game.

@timeracers Thank you! Yeah it wasn't that long nor complicated, but I'll try to do more next time :)

@dragonzlay Thanks! That means a lot hearing that you had fun!

Hey HunGARE! It's Snowy (because that wasn't obvious from my name lol). Didn't know you joined this Dare, so when I saw your response, I thought I might as well check your game out.

First of all, I'm really sad the game was only 40 waves long. It was a fun little game with an interesting premise, and I enjoyed playing it all the way through. I was disappointed (maybe disappointed isn't the right word... 'surprised'?) when it stopped after about two minutes of playing. Man, did I wish it went on longer...

The graphics, though not revolutionary, were great in their own right. The simple representation of everything made sure it was apparent which card was power-related. They were simple, efficient and - above all else - adorable.

The music was great to such an extent that it actually kept me waiting to start up the game to hear the entire track first. It carries that electricity/power feel fantastically and I feel like it fits the entire game very well. The only thing that broke it for me was how it looped. The end of the track and the beginning didn't feel like a natural loop to me, which is sad, because I loved the music.

I did think it lacked some difficulty (then again, I love me some unforgiving, challenging games). It played through it twice: the first time I pressed the right buttons as soon as I could, the second time I started by letting the bar drop down into the red. I found it was really easy getting it back up, and that the power drain overall was really slow.

Overall, You did a great job at the game! I still wish it was a bit longer and more challenging though...

@snowy Thanks for playing Snowy! I appreciate your feedback. Yeah it was a little short wasn't it. I was trying to get this one more polished, which meant it lacked in difficulty and length. I'll be sure to work on the for next Ludum Dare :)

It was fun until it abruptly ended :(

Games like this should just keep getting harder! I want to be able to devote my life completely to the mastery of this game!

love the pufferfish art though.

@terracottafrog Thank you! I should have made it longer you're right. And I made the pufferfish as a reference to my last ludum dare entry :)

Lovely game. I like the looks, and the idea. As an improvement, would be nice to see a timer or the number of the wave out of total. And maybe a small hint in the game how to play (I read it on the LD page). If you plan improving it, might add more levels, or the need to select at least 2-3 images from a grid, not just one row. Overall very nice game :)

I was a bit surprised when it ended after 40 levels.
You could have made it progress indefinitely with less time to select cards.

We seem to have a different understanding regarding hot-dogs as a power sauce however.

I had to get used to the art a little a first, then it got easy after memorizing all the cards.

You could have went for more abstract solutions too, like matchsticks, lightning, politicians etc.

The game as it is now is somewhat bland.

The music is really short, works out in context of the game but not very fun to listen to for a while.

Cool background animations

Different concept, The background animation looks polished. It's interesting how the changing colors on the cards makes it so much more difficult to see patterns.

@ultrarat Thank you so much! The background and the changing cards are two of the things I'm most proud of for this game!

Hehe, funny little game. Short and sweet, made me chuckle. I actually wouldn't mind if it just got harder and harder until it'd be almost impossible. I love little games like this that challenge your mind. Maximum skill!

I have to agree with everyone else thinking that the game should go on indefinitely. Games like these just naturally go on forever.

Cool game :) Like others, I think the game should go indefinitly, with always more and more cards. This way, the game should be funier ; for now, I think it is too easy. But anyway, the music is well accorded to the spirit of the game and th graphics not too bad. Congrats :)

The idea is simple, and ok, but it is a pity the game ends after 40 levels, as everyone else pointed out. The art is ok, so is the music. I just feel there should be a bit more to this game (something like moving cards would be a good start I guess ^^).

Still a cool concept, so you might want to expand it into a small endless HTML game :) With some highscores, that could be fun!

The idea's kinda simple, but it works really nice! More on the casual side of things, but keeping that bit of reflex-based gameplay, makes it really fun to play! :) It does feel short, so if you can find a way to make it endless, would be really fun! :D

The game does have really accessible look and gameplay, so it's really nice and good for all ages!

Good job there!

Nice game ! You managed to wrap it all up (music, graphics and all) by yourself which you can be proud of. I would have appreciated a bit more difficulty though, like moving the cards around sometimes ? I don't have much idea but it would be great to spice it up a little bit ;)

Good job anyway !
