Enter the dark tunnel is a game about staying ahead of a herd of zombies, smashing crates instead of walking around them ,and resource management.

I did not think about adding tooltips to the upgrade buttons...silly i know! So here is a list of what each upgrade in the game does from left to right:

  • Improve walk speed
  • Improve crate bashing power
  • Improve lantern capacity
  • Improve lantern clicking power
  • Improve lantern light radius

Enjoy the game and good luck!

Interesting idea! Maybe allow holding down the mouse button, or would that defeat the idea? Any way it was fun!

Fun! Biggest weaknesses are the length & the confusing icons (I can understand what the mouse/lantern/shoe do though). Sound is pretty great, it's definitely pretty tied together in a game!

Well, I always enjoy a zombie setting. Merrying it with cookie clicker works out surprisingly well.
Good executed with the dark tunnel, you really can feel how they are in your neck - especially when you hear them!
I had my problems to figure out which improvements are for what.

I had no idea what the powerups did. Looked interesting but lack of feedback on icons severely hurts playability

Nice zombie sounds. Nice pixel art but I didn't understand what each upgrade does, and what all the icons represents. Overall OK.

I didn't understand what the upgrades meant. Also the zombie thread wasn't present enough - turning this game into a "I click... Not much at all happens". I can see you propably put alot of effort in this but the lack of a real thread killed the fun for me. Motivate me! And don't let me click everything a thousand times - my hand hurts :) As an alternative example: you could do every operation with one click but it will take longer than if you click multiple times. This way you won't have to click like a maniac all the time.

didn't understand the upgrades, first one speed, there was one that empowered you click, and two of them made the lantern have more reach and last longer right? The second upgrade I had no idea what it did tho.

Aside from that the game had a cool artsyle, it fits the theme, and was an overall interesting concept. A simple tooltip when you hover the upgrade would have made the game much easier to undertand.

Really interesting take on the idea of a clicker game. I was really bad at it and still had 1500m to go but I loved the way you could upgrade things.

Suggestion: Maybe make it a bit more clear what some of the upgrades do. I could tell what two of them did, but the rightmost 3 I was kinda confused about.

I don't understand what upgrades do (maybe except of speed upgrade), but overall the game is good. Nice!

@Ray @connor-hagan @wabble @anudin @gistnoesis @neurofuzzy2 I feel so silly for not including a tooltip, thanks for taking the time to play my game and giving valuable feedback!

Fun idea, and kind of a novel use for a clicker game! I found myself preferring to click ahead of me blindly in the dark and not risking using the lantern for long stretches - this might be balanced out by me not getting all the upgrade items, but maybe it's something you'd want to consider for balancing? :)

Anyway, a fun game, and definitely has potential! I like the look especially.

Good idea and good execution I'd say, the only improvement you could make is, as said by others, make the icons more intuitive, I mean I had no problem with them but others would have, nonetheless it's a fun game.

I liked the concept of having to balance the flashlight and the speed of walk, the pixel art is cool, the only thing missing was some music to give that horror vibe. Overall is a good game =D

Well done, when I understood the icons it was cool
I expected to see few zombies at the end but I know that the time was short for the compo ^^
Maybe a key to light up the lantern could give a gameplay smoother.
