A cool idea. The default sensitivity is very low but I got used to it.

Interesting mash-up! I found it a bit hard to tell when I had succesfully hit something or not. I think some bigger, bolder feedback on success would help.

Nice, beautiful, glowy yet simple graphics, and great audio! It's a great take on the theme, as well. The only difficulty I ran into is that I found it very difficult to aim - some sort of sighting/scoping would have been nice. Great job!

Really nice! I love the bloom and the graphics!

Intresting concept, i think it needs a bit more visual and sound feedback when you hit the right notes, also some sort of chain-boosting when you hit more notes in a row would have been nice!

Graphics (weapon, colors) are nice, and there are quite a lot of songs.

In my opinion it would have been better to toggle on/off the aim with right mouse button, as I didn't see an advantage of not aiming.

Additionnal feedback would have been great on the shots and success/fail, and perhaps grenades as bonus to clear when it gets difficult and put more emphasis on the mashup of genres ;)
2 days is such a short time !

Game is good, and idea is quite interesting, I am curious what this could become.

The songs, in addition to being numerous, are actually very nice, which is a strong positive point.
Well done !

Oh the finger cramp :(

I discovered you could use CTRL to fire while experimenting on my second attempt, and turning auto-zoom on made a big difference- I think it would be worth pushing the user towards those input options as they make it much easier to play.

The music was great, and an impressive number of tracks for the time!

I would have liked to have seen the notes on the board match up with the notes/beats in the song in some way (seemed like the notes on the board might be completely unrelated to the song? as I noticed they kept coming after one of the songs ended and the level stayed on for 20 seconds in silence)

Also a few moments of rest in between note sequences would have helped, the constant onslaught gave me no time to let go of the mouse and stretch my hand!

I'd also have liked to have seen the song go glitchy if you miss notes and some kind of gameover if you play completely terribly like me :)

But cool idea overall, feels like it would make an interesting VR game!

A really cool idea that could become a big hit if worked out more, like adding own songs and generating crystals falling depending on the beat. Needs some more visual feedback for when you've hit a note/crystal, because the particle effect was a little too small to see. might add some combo's like guitar heroes has to track your combo streak, it also fixes the visual feedback thing.

Nice game man, hope you'll continue developing this game!

Cool mash up of genres, fits the theme well. Would be pretty cool to see this in a more polished state!

Sick game, nice idea, interesting graphic and gameplay. Probably one of the most original entries ive seen at moment.

As many others have said, it lacks additional visual and audio feedback. But other than that it really plays well. The controls feel smooth as all hell too.

Definitely waiting for VR port 😤

Can I just say a huge thanks to everyone who has played and rated this so far. I really appreciate it. Due to a pre-existing schedule, I have to submit this one early, but due to the 3rd-party music, I had to submit for the jam :(

The coming weekend I will address any issues you guys have raised, add any features you guys think I should implement (such as streak multipliers), and I will look into adding VR support.

Thank you again, and happy jamming.

Nice idea and everything was good except that the beats where not really synced with the music.

Interesting fusion. The gun had a good feel to it and the sound you had chosen for the shooting was spot on.

These are mostly polishing issues, but I had very hard time seeing whether I actually hit a note or not. Also, the rhythm usually was just a bit off beat which gets very annoying quite fast.

Overall, good idea and mostly good presentation. Some polishing and this could be a great game!

Aaaah - I am too slow! Amazing idea and a solid entry, though.

thats a pretty weird concept, well executed though

maybe you should think about opting out of the audio category
since the music is from 3rd parties i have no idea how to rate that

Damn, those visual are nice! Shiny and a little oldskool effect. I was missing some feedback from hitting something and also my mouse movement was very slow.

Great work! Also try rating/playing my game

The mouse sensitivity seemed too low. I liked that The rotation only occured in the Y axis, so targetting the 'notes' was a little easier.

Cool idea! It would have been nice to see more shooter aspects (moving, more guns, etc) before all the levels but good job getting managing to get this much done!

Wow, awesome game! The graphic, audio, concept are all soooo good. I think if I can get more feedbacks when I hit those keynote would be better. Also the sensitivity of mouse hahahah, I don't know if you set it on purpose.

Such a cool idea.
The graphics and especially the bloom on the lighting is really the highlight here.
You could make something like a drum sound, when a bullet hits a target. The shoot sound is a bit quiet.
Also maybe decrease points when the player doesn't get a target.
A really good entry!

Really nice combination of genres and great execution of the theme.

Nice job on having a good amount of songs!

Personally, I would have toned down the glow/bloom on the graphics, but otherwise, the visuals were nice.
Also would be nice to have some sound and a bit more visual feedback when you hit or miss a note.

But those are just small nitpicks, all in all I think its a great entry. Good job!

I'm trash at both FPS and rhythm games - what a game for me
The sheer number of tracks is super impressive and they are nice and match the aesthetic really well.

I was missing a penalty for missing (teehee) the notes - like a small score decrease or something along those lines.
