ICE BLOCKED:

"You have cast a spell in the hopes of capturing the heart of an Ice Witch terrorizing the land.

Unfortunately the spell has backfired and the Ice Witch has turned into a Slime dimension.

It is up to you to defeat the Slime, close the rifts, and protect the realm from becoming a frozen wasteland..."

love this game - great atmosphere and pace, simple mechanics, but tricky strategies once you get into it! Looking forward to future updates!

Hey I enjoyed playing your game! It's actually kinda similar to the game I made for the Jam! One small bug I noticed is that I can use my right click even if I'm out of mana, making it near impossible to lose.

Great game for chill out, but I think you could make this game more difficult by e.g. faster spawn time or something else. By the way, I really like your game art and sound effects! Keep it up!

@corgiram, thanks for that feedback mate. We fixed it last night and the latest build no longer has that bug. I'm glad that you enjoyed playing the game, we think it is a lot of fun too. I'll check out your game when I have a chance. Thanks for playing
@Borys, the art and sound effects are amazing, right?!? How many levels did you get in? I've found that the game gets far more difficult around level 4 and up as there are more portals. Either way, thanks for playing and I'll make sure we look into the spawn times.

Wow, I really like the gameplay even though I always get chased into a corner and die :laughing: and the graphics are UNBELIEVABLE. The one thing that could use improvement is the sound effects.

Good play, although it took a while for old me to get the hang of the controls.
Would like a slight variation of the sound effects as they get a bit monotonous after a while.

@shadowghost, thanks for the feedback. Was there any sound effects in particular that were monotonous? We typically had between 4-6 sound variations for each sound effect (except PhaseWarp, I'll admit), but I can imagine that may not even be enough variations for the sounds that are regularly played, such as the fireball.

The gameplay looks pretty fast-paced. The sound gets a little bit repetitive after some levels. Graphics also have a certain standard and blend well together. Great effort

...Where do I start? The art is amazing quality, gameplay makes sense, background music is soothing and the characters voice fits?

Interesting interpretation of the theme. I really enjoyed playing the Game. The Graphics where nice, the audio was chosen well. Overall nice Game!

Nice work, the graphics are really good! I think the difficulty could have been tuned a little higher however, it got a bit repetitive after a while.

Very awesome game. It gets super hard really quick. Protip: Go for the portals as fast as possible. I learned the mana was a limited resource the hard way. The music is good enough, the graphics are great. the mechanics are very fun. Some nitpick could be the difficulty step is a bit sky rocket.

Overall is an awesome entry. really good job!

Digging the ice mechanic for the sense of space control. The warp mechanic plays nicely with the rest of the controls. Could totally see this being expanded with more stages/powerups and such.

The graphics are very nice! Whole game is enjoyable too! I just had some problems where the game spawns my character - I've landed somewhere between trees and it was hard to get out. But anyways it was fun! :) Destroy the blobs!

Hey, just wanted to say it's an awesome with some really sweet graphics and animations! Some issues I have with it would be the speed of the game(everything moves too slowly). I know the theme should be portrayed through the small levels but they just take away from the overall experience, you could have found a better mechanic, other than small levels.

Either way I think you did a great job and this is definitely one of the best entries I played so far.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

@huskyez, thanks for the specific feedback. We didn't intend for the theme to be portrayed through the small levels, in fact the levels actually get bigger and bigger the further you progress through the game. That said, this is definitely an area that we want to tweak going forward. Thanks again for the feedback mate.

Lovely design, cool take on theme, feels very polished. Would have loved to test it with a gamepad :)

Is there an end level?

Hey @leif-einar-eide, as the levels are procedurally generated and we didn't have a story to tell with the gameplay, there is no end level. It will continue to get bigger and have the same number of portals as the level that you are on. We're currently working on additional mechanics and story based gameplay. Thanks for playing.
