Story:

Your job is seating passangers in an airline company. One day, marketing department of your airline came with "great" promotion: "From now on, everyone can make up any requirements on seating." Well that's easy to be said but who will fit all that people with crazy requirements into the plane? Guess what, you!

Controls:

Just drag and drop passangers onto seets you want to assign them

Cmd/Ctrl + Q to quit game any time

Team:

Tools:

Unity, Photoshop, Pixaki, Aseprite, DoTween (Unity Plugin)

Notes:

First two levels are tutorials and will be very easy, 3+ level will be much harder.

This time we worked for around 16 hours in total as we didn't have more time. We had quite hard time fixing everything and polish the game "enough" in time.

We did not create all the Audio (we have downloaded music and some sound effects) so we opt-out Audio category.

Good idea, little unclear graphics.

The popovers and the way compatible seats were highlighted did a good job of making the customers requests understandable. The main improvement which could be made is to make the matching mechanic more fun - perhaps compare it to other matching games and figure out what makes them fun.

Level transition was great, as well as the sound effects, very "Airport/flying" feel & mood!

The placement of people seemed a bit too easy, only because of the highlighted and grayed out seats, so I didn't have to do my own analytical thought on where that person would fit.. just find a lit up seat and put them there. Perhaps a slight increase in the difficulty/puzzle solving there could help, such as not highlighting.. just doing a red X/error for the player when he attempts to place the person in the wrong seat.

Overall, great work!

I really like the idea but find placing the people quite tedious (and easy, but that was already mentioned). I'd love you to come up with some efficient shortcut system or something alike that makes it easier and faster to place people.

I really like the idea of the game but the gameplay needs some changes to be fun. Congratulations on the entry - Anudin

I wish I could have more choices like these when I flew on an airline. I love the concept it really matches the theme. I started thinking of other stipulations for seats. Like sitting away from babies. I did find the level transition animation to be a bit long.

@tinykidtoo Thank you for your feedback, we actually had way more ideas in our mind. We have also considered bus instead of a plane which would make possible to have passengers stick in the vehicle for several stops (which doesn't really makes sense in the airplane) so you would have to consider not only requirements but also how long will that guys with way too many requirements occupy that seats.

The concept is really good. I enjoyed the game very much. Although I have to admit, that after some time, I didn’t even look at the requirements above the NPCs and just placed them on any highlighted chair that would let me, which worked out pretty well with a maximum of maybe 2ish passengers not getting a seat per round. Taking in all the requirements and thinking about a global solution is just a bit too much to comprehend, I guess.

Loved this game. Nice mechanics, and it actually feels like these people are flying. Great addition that they actually walk to their seat and not just spawn there. The transition between levels are nice and adds to the mood of the game. Great job!

The story was great, cool use of the theme! The gameplay felt solid, except that i would not highlight the seats, like mentioned in the previous comments. But maybe that makes a more calming experience.

It's been said by others, but I'd like to just reiterate that the ending transition where you actually fly is excellent. I could see it being left out by more utilitarian designers, but I actually think it's pretty important. Apart from serving as a momentary breather, it somehow makes all that frantic fitting together feel like it was worth it :)
