Everything dies when it loses its purpose, the question is - Is game's purpose given by the players?

-

P.S: This game would take from a half minute to a lifetime to participate.

Player #00470 is here to greet and thank you (as well as give you 5/5 in the mood category).

I have been following the creation of your worlds for a fairly long time now, and there are no words to describe that mix of anticipation and fear I felt when your new LD entry caught my eye during browsing.

A well-directed and a veiled use of theme with a strong tone of occult that has already become your calling card.

Pretty creative take on the small world theme. I had this issue though where i scrolled down a bit and it wouldn't let me scroll back up. Also would have preferred a larger screen size, but maybe thats part of the theme too. Great app nevertheless.

So, either I didn't get it, or it's a cute message board thing?

I couldn't play the game; the font is way too small, and when I try to zoom in using CTRL-+, the text moves offscreen.

Nice idea! Is it possible to see older messages?

@eveningwayward I had doubt that people might not easily recognize its inherent connection with the theme, it is a relieve seeing that you can get it, thank you!

@ratking Yes, they will be seen (sort of) at some point of time.

By the way, all the mentioned issues are probably due to browser support, it should work fine on all major browsers though.

Visuals and mood are really good, but the flickering and small font made it hard to keep playing.

That said, it's a strong entry.

Super neat concept, I like it! I left a message!

Text was rather 'small' (I am on 27" 4k monitor) but chrome browser zoom fixed that no problem.

Very experimental game! Loved the mood, created much by the sounds. Cool entry! :)

This game is a very spooky game that I had to share around, excellent work. So much mood is created just by a few graphics and a sound! spooky game

Player #00565 here, this is a really interesting take on the theme. Loved the whole feel and look of it honestly. The desolate glitchy CRT looking monitor in an art museum evokes a real spooky kind of mood. Great work, one of my favorites of this jam. :ok_hand:

I liked the concept, though small fixes like the text could be quicker and a may be a small sound for each letter like a beeb would add a lot of depth.

@ponywolf It wasn't like this before, it flickers this much only because its day is nigh...

@grim @doodlebut That's an interesting way of interpretation, actually I never intended or expected it to be spooky... I can see why though and now I have started to like it this way, thanks for the feedback!

@celine-veltman Because of the core mechanism of this project is hidden in the backstage (which isn't that much visible to an individual player), so I was trying to keep the presentation part as minimal as possible including the sounds...

Speaking of the "mechanism" or "gameplay" of this project, I'll try to clarify it a little bit here (since it's quite black box-ish):

It is not and never supposed to be a message board thing as some players might think, furthermore, the message section is not the emphasis of this project.

As of now, I'd prefer to define it as an "online multiplayer game" with "undefined objectives" as well as an "end state". However, figuring out the mechanism requires close observation and communications with other players.
