Nice programmer art;) and i really felt stressed while running out of space. so it fits the theme very well.
but i would work a bit longer on the jumping mechanic

Great Game! I really like the graphics and the spikes keep you on the edge of your seat. That 3rd level was really hard but I finally got it! :sweat_smile: . I think we both thought about the theme in a similar way, your game is similar to mine. :smile:

I would add some running animation to make the guy look more exhausted and stressed running away from the spikes. But yea good game with good physics! So Jumping is nice!

This is the ultimate stress game. I HATED the full restart, and it made me even more nervous. If that was the emotion you wanted, go for it. Maybe add 3 lives for each room or something... IDK, but this could be a game I would play with a little more polish.

I wish you didn't restart the entire game every death. I don't mind restarting a couple levels but not all of them. Also I personally didn't like the movement as it feels a little jittery specifically when jumping or falling but I understand why its the way it is.

This is one of those rage game in it's pure form. If you were aiming for that kind of stuff then you hit the point perfectly. But if the goal was to make a challenging game but not so rage inducing then you should give the player at least some jump allowence so that he could still jump even after walking off the platform for a breig period. Another frustrating thing in this game is hold button to jump feature. I get it that it is quite a handy tool for progressing through a room with the platforms ladder and some other places, but it really prevents you from enjoying the game. People generally tend to hold jump button to jump higher even if a game has no jump power controls. And so you perform a jump and upon landing you accidentally perform another jump that in some cases can slow you down and cause your death. Yet another thing that caused me to produce a whole lot of swear words during my playthrough is that multiple question marks in the same room are all triggered when you touch at least one of them. There is a path in the fourth room that leads to a dead end up above (from which you neither can die nor respawn so you have to reload the whole game) and I accidentally bumped into that question mark soo many times that it will surely come to me in nightmares.

Even if this game was sort of rage inducing I still had quite a good time with it. It was too much for me to beat till the end, but I appreciated the challenge and got what I could out of it.

@roberth332 good point! I'll definitely add some intermediate save points somewhere in the game.

@detectivelosos thank you for the reply :) I had little to no time to design levels properly, so to make gameplay a bit longer I've ended up designing hard levels. Aaaaaand yeah, I've probably overdone it :) I'll add more levels soon with a smoother learning curve to make gameplay more enjoyable.

Great entry, the gameplay should be a little bit more smooth for a plateformer but when you get used to it it's fine !
