Good idea . But control is real terrible , i can't move fire at the same time.

Hey :) ! Just played the game and really liked the idea of shooting objects with various colored projectiles ! However as @ascension said the controls are tough ! I think there are way too many buttons the player has to use... this + the fact that boxes spawn extremely fast make the game almost impossible to play ! I would remove the arrow key controls that make the player change color and instead just use those to shoot different colored projectiles directly. How about if the character couldn't move (removes more controls).. instead boxes just come from the left and right and you need to shoot them down before they reach you. Would of made things a lot funner and fair in my opinion, without all that moving and jumping. Anyway good job for finishing your game, cheers :) !

Phew... Okay I did 70... by basically mashing the arrow keys and firing constantly. As it's been said already the controls are really what breaks this game. Maybe using the mouse the control where you fire would be helpful?

Nice game idea. Lots of buttons tho. Once I figured out what arrow keys switched to what color it was pretty fun. Maybe a gamepad would help manage the buttons. I think it would be too complicated for mouse aiming.

It's a cool interpretation of the theme. It would be nice if you could do more with the movement, as standing still is the best strategy now. Also the balance is a bit off, as you get overwhelmed quite fast. But it's a cool game at its core

I really liked the idea behind this game and the gameplay mechanicsare clever, but I couldn't get along with the controls, it's a bit too confusing for me. In my opinion your game misses some background music. Nice job on your entry.

@ascension @alexander-tan I thought that the controls were pretty good, but I might make another Version with different controls, probably something like @noa-calice Suggested.

Couldn't get more than 45… I am pretty bad at it.

Nevertheless your game is original.

The controls are a little awkward (not sure if it was intended, but I'm not used to shoot with my pinky).

If I have to improve on what you've done, I would use the mouse and change the controls as such:
- arrows or WAD to move or jump
- aiming with the mouse
- left click (or space) to shoot
- right click to slow time and display a color wheel the player can use to change its gun's color.

But I know this was made in two days ;)

Good job.

I don't like the controls. The game feels nice :)

I enjoyed this game! Good use of the theme, the graphics are pleasant, and the sound effects are suitable. The controls definitely need work. I think even just changing shoot to spacebar would make a big difference. Nice submission! Especially for compo!

I liked the concept but I couldn't get into it due to the choice of controls. The shoot key is mapped to left shift, which implies I should use my pinky to shoot. That caused me cognitive stress, that, compounded with the directional arrows for colour and WASD for movement while the floor is getting flooded made it almost impossible for me to play. I think I would have enjoyed this with one less layer of complexity, possibly, and the shoot button on something more central that I can use different fingers for, like my thumb for Space.

I kept getting buried and was unable to destroy and blocks. I really like the concept and would like to play a version that had better controls I think it could be a lot of fun. A frantic game because of the impending doom of getting buried.

It's really hard to remember which arrow key is which color. Also there doesn't seem to be a point of moving around since you can't move after the first few blocks fall. Still a unique idea. I would work with it more.

@zuhairghias There should be a thing in the bottom right that shows what arrow does what color.

@gerox Haha no I mean I have to keep looking back and forth to see which color is which arrow.

Nice touch on having random sessions of 4-color palette-themes.. (definite replay value!)

There is frustration on limited firing direction..
(I would love to see that the player could fire literally any direction; in particular to clearing smaller blocks)
Suggestions:
- Allow user to have selection of fire-controls: 4-direction (U/D/L/R), L/R:(control angle of fire-arc; eg. Bust-a-move..)
- Introduce Power-ups similar to Arkanoid: Bullets bounce, Split, etc..
- 1 or 2-button mode: Decide how you will produce controls based on 2 buttons.
(Convenient for Portrait-mode Mobile Game); May include Tilt, etc..
- Have color-selection rhythmically cycle in sequence and its up to the player to time it right..

I could see this game may gel for mobile (may require to either streamline the controls for thumb-based one-hand control [portrait]; or go twin-stick for Tablets [landscape]
