NO MORE ROOM IN HELL by panurge
All done by me, was going to be a compo entry but I ran out of time so put it in the jam instead. It's a sort of mini bullet hell, nothing groundbreaking but I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.
WASD, LMB to shoot, SPACE to jump. Respawn at cursor.
F for Fullscreen.

Also, nice job for doing it alone.
Does the music change when one defeats the first big blue guy? Well done.
Did you name it after the survival game of the same name or is it a coincidence ?
Really great game, really enjoyed it. Just a little tough for me.
The only complaint is that maybe screen shake is a bit too much at times and the green projectiles are not that visible when there is lots of green goo.
The game feels really satisfying, but could be even more by really simple tweaks like giving a reason to the player to not shoot. In fact you could follow point by point the vlambeer conference "art of screenshake".
Good entry 👍
A rather simple game, but marvellously executed.
And hilarious.
Many times I did not see the projectiles that the demons shot at me, maybe because they were the same color as the acid, I also felt a little unfair that the big ghost did not give me many points (I expected about 5 or something) I like how the game ends, but I feel that the puddles might disappear after some time or have some way of making them disappear in someway to free some space.
The work is excellent, it's amazing that it was just a person, well done!
@halfmule Yep, the music kicks in every time you defeat one of the big ghosts. I thought it might get annoying otherwise. The downside is that a lot of people seemed to think it starts and stops randomly. With hindsight I should have made it more obvious.
@geraldfingburke The eyes on your bat show how many lives you have left but I should have made this a lot clearer.
@barrier @aguahervida Yes, I realised too late that the enemy projectiles are the exact same colour as the goo. D'oh!
@nisco Solid advice about giving the player a reason not to shoot. If I worked on this more, my first move would be to either give some kind of 'ammo' counter or have certain enemies that you need to avoid shooting, I think.
@allenial Sorry about that, I never intended for players to have to read that more than once. I'll check but it should be set up so that losing a round takes you to a different, much shorter chat before throwing you back in.
Please do check my game maybe you’ll like it and leave some feedback.
Character design is good;
Maybe the function of the bullet is better related to the distance.
