Hi Everyone!

This is my entry for the LD 40. The idea is, that the more possibilities you have in a maze, the harder it gets!

I created a maze with some special fields and different layers. Have fun playing it and don't forget to rate ;)

Play the Game on NEWGROUND: https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/702952?updated=1512342107

Level 1 is a short Tutorial, the difficulty of the levels 2 - 5 gets increased.

Let me know if you managed to reach the goal in Level 5 ;)

Important: You have to click play game on NEWGROUND, so that the "This Submission is Under Judgment!" text disappears and the game is shown!

Very simple logic but great possibilities.

Music a must!

The only thing I didn't like is the movement. Would be nice to constrain the movement to the grid (w/o rotation at least).

Hmmmmm, I think this is a case of a cool idea but inevitably it's not a fun idea. At least, not for me. You could call it an allegory for constraining options for players, I guess.

The controls confuse me, there's no point to the tank driving controls when a simple left is left, up is up etc would work much much better.

Great idea, simple ideas but complex when put together. I loved the pac-man aesthetic!

I like the mechanic, but the movement is a little strange. Although it was still enjoyable!

I didnt find this a whole lot of fun in its current state, the puzzles, while fitting the theme, arnt fair as theres just lots of things to trial and error your way through. There could be a fun game here with a bit more work on the controls and level layouts.

Nice little maze game. It is well executed and flows well. Some SFX and music would have been nice, and even though I like the mouse-in-a-maze controls they can be a bit weird for some players.

Nice job!

Like it. Reminded of "Time Fcuk"

Although controls would be better without rotation, just classic WASD. Like in a "Pacman"

Interesting idea. Movement is a bit odd though, and it could do with some audio

Clever level design, really well done! Controls are a bit weird though but it's not a blocker!

The level design is a bit overwhelming IMHO. I think the layouts could have been more streamlined while retaining the same puzzle-cracking aspects. The concept does work though and with a little bit of iteration on the levels this could be quite fun!

Cool idea! I think it would have been even better with some sound/music, but it was all in all a job well done :)

Good mazes!
The smoothness of the player movement makes it really pleasant to navigate.
Some music would have been really cool.

Interesting mazes.
It felt kind of like trial-and-error at first with the warps, but by the later levels I started to figure things out just by looking for the most inaccessible/one-way warps and layer transfers and then shooting for those, working my way backwards through accessibility-based guesses.
I'm not sure why you chose to have the player move like a car, though. Pac-Man-style 4-directional movement would have made a lot more sense, in my opinion.

Hey Logan!
Thanks for your comment! Your method for solving the mazes was exactly right. I tried to create the mazes in a way, that you can only leave the right path to the exit of the maze and that it is only at some points possible to return to the path once you left it ;)
The creation of the later levels took me about 2 hours per maze, so sadly there was no time for more mazes...

clever little game - i think the controls would have been better if they were not rotational and were just straight movement - like pacman - good game

Fun little maze game. The tank controls were a little off and at points it just felt like trial and error. But overall a good game
