TD blockBuilding - Blocks vs Blobs by dae529

[raw]
made by dae529 for LD 41 (JAM)

1st attempt at a game jam with a few friends from Scotland. It's a bit janky, completely unbalanced, and far too short, but pretty happy with the way it turned out, assets and all!!!

We went for a bit of tower defense with colour matching blocks (didn't quite manage the full tetris logic along with everything else...)

Ok, this haves a lot of potential ! I enjoyed it and i hope you finish this game. Wouldn't mind playing this game in the finished state. Good work !
OH: PS, if you want more ratings, you gotta rate other games.
It's a karma system.

@Roidz Thanks roidz, don't you worry, definitely going to be playing some of these beauties out there soon. It's just been recovering from the jam+plus catching up on missed work/other responsibilities has meant a lack of gaming over the last couple of days. Just about to make up for it.

Thanks for the feedback. Was very much a winging it approach, without a huge amount of testing. Definitely something I'd like to finish up. There's something intriguing there, and a few variations on an upgrade system that we didn't end up implementing, but that's something to worry about later

There's something really fun here, but the controls were a bit off (the blocks maybe moved a bit too fast) and it was hard to tell what was going on.

Definitely very good work for a first jam game!

Thanks arzi!

Yeah, I know what you mean. The feel is definitely off a little, e.g. pressing left once and moving over 2 spaces. Probably need to slow everything down a little overall, introducing different in elements more slowly. Just a little too much chaos a little too quickly

Fun idea, a bit too fast and unresponsive for me though.

nice idea, but as others said, the controls aren't perfect :) But otherwise, the game is cool
The sounds are also really great :D

It's a really fun idea. I wish the controls were a bit smoother. I'm interested to see how different levels would look if you expand upon the game. The graphics look good and the sound effects are funny. Good work.

Excellent game, I liked the mechanic and fun voice.

I also have a [game about Tetris](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/last-stand-1), it's important for me to hear your opinion
