This Is Melon Squad!

The world has been overrun by by the melon kind's greatest enemy: the Carrots

But A vigilante group of melons has taken the matter into their own hands and have decided that they must blow themselves up to get rid of the carrot menace.

Control characters such as:

Normal Dan,

Sneaky Pete,

and Big Bertha

There are 7 levels in total, do you think you can beat them?

Tips on beating the carrots

As soon as the carrot sees you, it will shoot

So you have to jump or get behind cover to dodge the bullet

After that the carrot has to reload

So then that's where you go in for the kill!

Good luck!

It's good, just maybe a bit too hard, especially in the beginning. I think the melons have a bit too much momentum but other than that the controls were fine. Graphics and sounds are nice and polished. It will probably frustrate a lot of people (me included) but it's a great rage game if you're into that :P. I did still play up to level 4 or 5 I think.

Fairly interesting. It was interesting to puzzle out how to use the watermelons in a given level, but it felt like the real-time nature of the game came into the way of the puzzle-solving in certain cases. The carrot projectiles are very fast, and that together with the carrots being able to shoot in any direction made approaching them feel slightly too frustrating, namely in situations where the carrot was at the end of a tunnel and I had to hope that they don't get to shoot again before I reach them. The visual look was very nice! The explosions especially.

Hello. I downloaded the package, but I don't understand how I can launch game - there is no exe. Maybe I did something wrong? I wait your answer so as to test your project which seems to me really cool ++

The download should be a .zip file. Once it's downloaded right click it and select the "Extract All" option and it will put the contents into a folder. Inside that folder all you have to do it double click on the .jar file. JARs are executable files, just like EXEs, but just for java. It won't run if you don't have java installed, which you can download here https://www.java.com/en/download/ .
I Hope this helped

Awesome tunes! This game could definitely benefit from have a detonate-early button, instead of having to wait for the fuse to run out.

I'd love to try it out but I can't even finish the first level. The carrot up there is shooting me no matter how fast I try to react. I can duck the first bullet by slightly climbing down the ladder, but then it shoots me again before I'm close enough to blow it up...

Too bad, cause I like the idea and the way it looks :( The audio's nice as well! Any tips to help me out?

Took me forever to even get past the first level, as it was ridiculously tough to get the timing. The second level I think I spent about 10 minutes on trying and trying again, but the one thing that kept bothering me is that if I screwed up one melon, I had to deal with the other two, even though the level is not solvable with two. There was no reset, so every time I messed up the first one, I had to keep suiciding the others because there was no reset button.

I think you guys might've made this a tad too difficult. Otherwise, the entry is actually pretty solid, and the movement, controls, graphics have nothing really to complain about
