Goal

In this game, up to 4 players are fighting to stay on the road. During many rounds, players have to stay on the screen : if they are too fast or too slow, or if they fall, they'll be destroyed. The last player on the screen wins the round.

Gameplay

The two genres that we were wanting to mix in this game are Racing and Rail shooter : in a Racing Game, the control of the movements is central, whereas it is generally absent in Rail Shooter Games. This is translated in the game by the two play modes : the player can switch between the Drive mode, during which he can change his direction, and the Shoot mode, during which he can shoot in order to change his speed or slow down the other players. The more a round last, the faster the players go, and the stronger the pression is !

Controls (Only Gamepad) :

  • Press Y to change mode
  • IN DRIVE MODE : use left stick to change direction
  • IN SHOOT MODE : use right stick to aim, right trigger to shoot. Shooting has an impact on your speed!

I like the basic concept of the game, since you have to juggle between two tasks at the same time. But since shooting and driving don't require the same inputs it isnt realy obvios why you cannot do both at the same time.

Two Smaller improvements:

1) The UI Elements didn't scale to my screen resolution. For evryone else you have to play in **1920x1080** In Unity you have 2 options to solve that. Either restrict the resolution in the Player Settings or set the CanvasScaler to "Scale With Screen Size"

2) Please upload the sourcecode & build separately. 600MB is way to much :) Only the .exe UnityPlayer.dll and _Data Folder are required to play the game.
