High-Score 1705, the game is a bit slow at the beginning but otherwise it's cool.

It's funny and fit well to the theme. My strategy was to randomly shoot in many directions and it works well. I liked your description (mostly the requirement section :D ).

The comets disepear directly without any explosion, this could be improved.

Good job ;-)

@lonehearts Yeah... I had no time to adjust this. Also in the end, when only one platform is standing, the gameplay becomes a little dull. This could be improved, I even have an idea, but Maybe™ later.

@mgsx Thanks! About the comets - yes, it was also bothering me they just disappear, but I had more important things to do, and I kinda left this thing out :D

Cool small game and idea, I felt like the flying saucer was slow, so my main strategy was finding the best spot where my laser would cross the comets path; maybe the game could be more intense with a higher speed and fire rate, just as a suggestion.
I think I suck at this game (scored 1080) because I do net meet the requirement, otherwise I think I would beat @lonehearts score easily; I could only afford to buy the VR headset but that was totally worthwhile. Also, good job on story telling, I bet you followed my advice.
Cheers!

Pretty fun little game, sort of like a reverse breakout. The graphics could use a little work and the sound is a little repetitive but the gameplay is interesting and the platforms are a nice mechanic. I think it would have been better if the platforms that you fall through stuck around instead of disappearing, then you could use them as a sort of shield something like space invaders.

I scored 1130! Awesome concept for a game! The music and sound effects work nicely. It would be cool if the platforms fit in more with the space background. Also, some power ups would be cool and add to the replay value of this game. Overall, this is a cool game for only 48 hours :)

I scored 750. At first I thought it'd be really easy -- since there are so many platforms -- but I hadn't accounted for the fact you could fall down the cracks. Good job.

I think the difficulty ramp could do with some tweaking: it starts very slow, and just when I thought it wasn't going to get any faster it jumped straight to being too fast for me to keep up!

Nicely done! The difficulty ramps up well, and get's to a good chaotic level around 1000. The particle effects worked well, and the flying saucer model was cool. I felt it was missing a final touch on the meteor destruction.. no particles or sound there, just vanished.. so that would have been nice, but I assume you ran out of time and had to cut it out. All in all, a good time and well done!

I love your requirements listed on the LD page too! :)

Score: 1745, really fun! simple and easy to understand mechanics with a creative premise. I enjoyed trying to hold onto my last platform the best I could.

Cool game! I got 1110 on my first try. The game is simple and very fun to play. I really the idea of running out platform to stand on. It does fit with the theme very well. Overall I think the game is fun and simple so that anyone can pick up on.

pretty fun little game, I like the graphics, but imo it feels a bit sudden when you destroy an asteroid, probably because the particles disappear immediately, I think it would be better if they hung around and disappeared like they normally do instead of just suddenly disappearing. An explosion animation would have also fixed this.

I got 1040 points! I didn't see much reason to move around, because it's easiest to shoot a comet if it's coming right at me anyway. That's too bad because it was fun to move around and I like the idea of my play surface being eroded (sort of like an inverse Space Invaders).

Bit slow at the start and then pretty chaotic. would have loved some hit effects since there were particles for everything else but it seemed straightforward enough haha. not a huge fan of the row clear when you "fall down" - but the kind of reverse-breakout vibe was interesting.

1900 points on the first try. Good game! Difficulty curve kinda off though. The Game starts by being easy to pure chaos instantly. Music was nice though!

Your game description didn't make any sense but it worked.
The core mechanics were fantastic! Really original and I liked it. I played 3 times. The first time was kind of a throwaway because I was just figuring out the rules (like how falling into a hole caused the whole platform to disappear)
The second and third time I was just going for score :)
I thought my projectiles moved a bit slowly compared to the fire rate. There's a fast fire rate but a slow bullet speed which made hitting the incoming objects a bit unfamiliar compared to other shooters.
I would love an explosion effect when I destroyed an incoming asteroid thingy.

@candlesan The bullets i think it is important to be slow, so there is some challenge, trying to aim at the meteors. Otherwise, the game wouldn't be as challenging i think. Oh, and the game descriptions isn't there to make sense, but to be funny/ridiculous. I haven't had the chance to import my stupid humor inside the game, so i settled with the description only.

The player seemed to be too heavy, having too much inertia. Other than that, it was really fun! The slow speed of the bullets was good: it made the game more challenging.
