The Crossing by Crabman

Alrighty, there we go! Sadly I didn't manage to do a proper restart function, so you'll have to reload to retry. I'm honestly not sure yet if it's solvable though. I only remembered that Ludum Dare was on 4h ago, so there wasn't much time for testing and balancing ;)
Background by ansimuz.
EDIT: Yay, it's possible!
EDIT2: I fixed a bug that displayed the wrong message when caught and added the restart button. Hope that's ok since none of the gameplay was changed, it's just to let you retry without having to reload the whole page.
You can check out the changes here: https://www.diffchecker.com/uBLPyaQR
As you can see, everything was already in place, I just messed up restarting the animation and sound, which I was too tired to figure out quickly yesterday.
But if you prefer the unmodified version, you can find it here: http://hypnoticowl.com/jam/crossing/

I kind of can't believe you made this in 4 hours. It's pretty minimal, but I still get a great mood from it. I also love the story - it really brings to imagination escaping real world regimes, or fictional regimes (1984). The only thing I'd advise is to maybe have more excitement as the player goes on. Even something as simple as blending a panting/tired animation is good. Overall, great job.
4 hours is not a lot of time to make a game, nice job
