CheatDay by Stames

Description
Now and then even BodyBuilders do CheatDays and eat everything they find. And even if he is trained as hell he sees himself very differendt and has a guilty conscience about eating all this. Help the poor guy to eat as much as he can while avoiding your conscience. But be aware of the filling of your stomach, and gut.
Controlls
You have to finde Food (Eggs, Cupcakes, Fish) and eat them by holding E. Now the food is in your stomach press Q to look inside and help your "Hydrochloric Acid" to break it up by attacking with spacebar. the Food needs to be attacked several times. Get rid of your Poop by pressing F but don't step into it. And there is a ghost hunting you. Your Conscience. It gets louder the closer it gets to you.

Open your stomach to make more room for food with Q

Explanations
We like a bit of gluttony here and there but the problem is there isn’t enogh Space in your stomach and gut. Your are runnig out of space for food and also for your poop in our game.
This is our first Ludum Dare and in the begining our project was a litle different. We first wanted the BodyBuilder to grow bigger and bigger but then the time wasn’t on our side :-P
So we decided to do the game as it is yet.
Help the poor Salt Acide (HCl) ;-P

The art and animations are so good and hilarious. The guy's facial expression kills me every time.
Only thing is I had no idea how to play the game... or what was happening at all.. Where did the ghost come from? What's the thing that says "YEAH!" in his stomach? How do you poop? A little more explanation would have made this game a little nicer to play.
Also the buzzy noise that plays when you die is maybe a little too much... just a lil bit... lol

@brooke the thing in his Stomach is his gastric juice (Salt acide) you use it to breakup the food. When you breakup some Food you get poop in your gut and then you can poop with F. The Ghost Thing is is conscience that you must avoide.

In regards to your question about your sprite edges, try turning off Pixel Perfect on your camera. Also, if you want your quit button to work in WebGL (and everything else) use this:

I haven't found the pixel perfect thing on my Camera. But I found this MIP-mapping thing that helps a bit but makes the sprite a bit blurry
And the Quit button advise is realy awesome I thought I had to disable it for a webGL build or something like this (but even that I've forgotten x-D)
Am I still allowed to change those little things? If so how much can I change? I would like to make the conscience pointer grow bigger when it is nearby.

[edit] Actually disregard the pixel perfect comment lol pretty sure you aren't drawing that arrow on a canvas. My submission was completely UI driven so I had canvas on the brain :P
From my understanding you're allowed to do bug fixes but not add additional content. I would consider the Q UI thing and quit functionality as fixes. The pointer growing I'm not so sure about.

I think the food digestion mechanic could've been explained a bit better, the game looked good, though the jumping seemed quite floaty, making movement quite awkward.
As an overall game, however, it was very fun to play!
5 stars humor! Well done :smile:
Also I really like your interpretation of the theme. Quite innovative actually.
