Plane Fishing by Belga54
I did'nt find any idea in my first day, but then and after rolling random genres I found that "A flying+fishing simulation survival game " would be a good idea!
So you control a plane with <-(UP) & ->(DOWN) arrow keys and you shoot trawls on fish with space! You have to get fish to survive for the longest time possible and avoid shooting on bombs!💣💣💥💥
Incompatible genres:
- Flying simulator
- Fishing simulator
- Survival with timer
Controls(if you don't wanna read the text above):
- <-(moves you UP) left arrow
- ->(moves you DOWN) right arrow
- Space(to shoot atrawl)
Avoid:
- Shooting trawls on 💣s! 💥💥💥💥
- Falling in the water!
- Running out of time!(up right corner)
To do:
- Shoot on fish(this will suspend the time remaining)
- Try not to do the * avoid * things
Oh and I raged so much in this Ludum Dare that I broke the screen with a ruler and continued developing the game...

Loved graphics and sound effect, nice game concept

In a fast-paced game like this, I sometimes get confused on which direction i'm rotating. Have you considered up and down arrows or w/s?

I didn't progress much further, mostly because the game sometimes restarts with a whole bunch of bombs in the water already rather than starting anew. Regardless, there is a nice charm to this game that really holds it together. The frantic plane flying, the art, the looping background music and the sound effects function as one cohesive package, so well done on that.
It was pretty interesting how only going into the water would kill the plane (based on the controls), yet you aren't able to fly offscreen (the sky is simply a contained boundary), which is something I would usually expect in these types of games. I wouldn't say it was a bad thing - there wasn't really an advantage to hanging out by the ceiling, and the time limit made sure that I wasn't just camping out in a single area for a long time. For an increased difficulty, it would have been interesting to see things pop out of the water that you might have to avoid, perhaps even as you fly directly over them. The bombs served as a good enough challenge, though it does get pretty dense as the game progresses, making it near impossible to even drop one without inevitably throwing your net onto a bomb.
Overall, I thought this game was ridiculously cute and I was without a doubt entertained. Very nice work! :fishing_pole_and_fish:
As @Random-storykeeper said above, the player can stay on one edge of the screen and wait...(though I wouldn't recommend doing that, because of the timer) Maybe make the player rotate automatically when touching the edge or something?

It's pretty challenging. I think sometimes I started with 3 bombs and others with zero so there might be an issue with the ramping. I also don't like bombs spawning where the net has already been dropped. maybe you could omit the net x left and right bounds from the spawn area of bombs to help the player out.
