"Stories" is a "choose your own adventure" type of visual novel. You play as someone on the phone with their loved one and tell stories to each other until the phone runs out of battery. Hope you enjoy!

Game can currently be found on itchi.io https://ciderwrath.itch.io/stories

*Some notes about creating the game Originally, I planned on having way more story between the two characters and more selections from what to choose from. There was going to be more characters to choose from in the action story other than the knight, and more types of stories like an exploration one. There is supposed to be a story going on behind the stories being told, but I decided to cut them short since I figured it was better to finish developing the game play to develop a full enough experience for what it is. So if the beginning of the game is a little out of place, I just kept it there to show there was supposed to be more. Anyway, hope you enjoy!

I like choose you own adventure games and so It's a pitty that this one was short. And because I don't have too much to brag about. I will start with minuses.

The game's as I have already stated short, almost too short. You really have no way to feel her personality and therefor you cannot really drive your decisions. On the other hand these decisions are only about stories in your head. Which leads me to the second minus and that is that your decisions have no real ending consequnces. The last one is that there are some missing images which probably were not finished cause of the not enough time but still.

The graphics are really good and I really like it. Rating:

Well, all the grammatical errors aside, I felt like you were trying to push the theme of the jam too much. The dialogue felt rather forced at times because of that. The art style is alright, though there isn't much to see of that either. It felt weird to have a such a stark disconnect between what she was saying and her expression.

@tomasara413 Yeah, sadly, not having a drawing for every situation was a real disappointment for me, but I will get around to fully finishing the game, so thank you very much for the feedback!

@shinmera Heh yeah, I kinda jumped straight into the dialogue and just quickly went onto the next topic without doing any proofreading, thanks for not going into detail about that! :D And also thanks for your feedback!

The teddy bear branch is my favorite for sure. I'm really impressed with how much branching dialogue you wrote! It's very humorous too. I do wish the final dialogue chunk varied a bit, but I loved all the different stories. I could see this being really great with some tragic back story hidden between the different paths that players have to piece together. It was still really enjoyable though, great job! And the art was adorable!

Sweet game with decent writing and interesting text-adventure mechanics. It's impressive how many branches to the story are there and how different can they be. I liked the graphics, pretty stylish and pleasing to eye. In overall pretty neat game.

I never knew how ferocious teddy bears could be. This was a little bit like story time with a toddler, because you just never know what kind of outlandish situations will be thrown at you. Fun!
