Where's Waldy by Dartictheunic

This game is about an evil knight who's been transported to our times by a magician. Problem is, the princess he had captured was teleported too. You have to take her back, but you are lost in a strange place with loads of people.
In this game we tried to mix a where's Waldoo with the hack'n'slash genre.
Lore You are the evil knight Mortis and you just kidnapped your first princess. What a shame that the well known wizard Gandoulf defeated you and teleported you in another dimention. But you feel like the princess has been teleported too. You go on to find her.
Intentions Our goal was to make a hack'n'slash investigation game but the genres are very different so we came up with a basic gameplay but lots of feedback (hack and slash is very active, while investigation is more passive). We made a mix in the universe by putting a monster in a place where harmony and peace should prevale, but we also added loads of colours and joyful music while the actions are horrible. All af that is supposed to make you feel like the player doesn't belong here at all, and we hope we made it !
Note You should try your first playtrough with the non-epileptic version (also if you ARE epileptic) as the feedbacks are more readable. But we'd love that you try the epileptic one, as we loved developping it ! For the bravest there are 3 princesses hidden in the level, but only one is needed to win ;)
Note 2 Even if we didn't make the musics, turn up the volume ! There is still a lot of work on sound design !
Controllers: Mouse to move WASD or ZQSD to protect yourself from paparazzis

Updates:: 05/03: Added 1 more level and fixed some bugs (passing through walls i.e) Soon: Better feedback when finding your princess !

Note : Turn up the volume, but AFTER you spawned in game, you'll thank me later.
But you should improve your loading time, or add an Loadingscreen ^^
I woud like to see more in the future!
@Iak yes I know, I'm actually working on a lighter build and a working HTML one but thanks for feedback !
@PatrickRMC To be honest we weren't expecting to put these songs at the beginning of the jam but well, exhaustion happened
@bobismijnnaam thanks a lot, we should have worked more on the controllers are they are real hard to get used to but we're glad you enjoyed it !
@Sintel Well we're glad you felt like this because that's how we wanted it  thank you very much !
@Jenonator It's the first time we make a game that heavy (data-wise) so there's a lot of optimization to do, but I'm going to try and realease a faster build !
@jcwelgemoed Ahah thank you ! Hope you enjoyed despite the confusion
@HAUO Wow that's exactly what we wanted the player to feel ! Thanks a lot for the description, it helps knowing how people get into the game !
@GeraldFIngBurke Thank you ! Glad you enjoyed the humour as well !
@Bitten Toast Games Thanks, will do for sure
@theamazingb Well actually red thumbs are when you're not slaughtering anyone, acting like a "timer" for you to find the princess. Love the description of how you felt playing, thanks a lot ! We are currently working on the "start" phase which stil feels weird, we'll try and implement what you suggested
@blobo Creating an evil character was the make the investigation phase less boring, like having a child you have to keep your eyes on but that child has a 2m long axe ^^
@nidup Yeah no I've been working on making the game run on every computer in the HTML version but it's actually quite hard for me ^^'
@Nillard thanks ! We tried to make it feel like you're in a real convention with sounds coming from everywhere since we wanted the player to feel lost
@Guilhem @Gerickos thanks dudes :heart:
