Graphics are great, but definitely would have benefited from some sound effects. Great work though :)

Very fun game, particularly with a friend, then you can each control one of the cannons! If you play alone the difficulty quicly increases. I like the simple graphics, I just wish you stuck with a style like the planet and some of the asteroids, some of the elements didn't really had the same low poly/hexagonal look. No music but I see you opted out of the category. Overall a really fun experience!

Very nice humor and mood, the gameplay i feel like it would have been better with just one cannon at double speed, however nice entry, good job!

Reminded me of Asteroids except for playing from a planet....good job! The controls, imo, weren't very intuitive though, but they can get used to!

Thanks for the nice feedback so far everyone!

@drunkardwolf Apologies for missing the sound effects, it was something we ended up not doing for time/sanity constraints, I agree it would have added value.

@bronydell may I ask you to elaborate? Which comic was it? Could you not advance to the next level by pressing enter, or did the entire game crash?

@bronydell Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm not sure what to do about that right at this moment, but if it helps, and you still want to try the game, I've added a windows build download to the page. https://sir-abe.itch.io/space-invaded

@sir-abe Windows build works (thanks God that nowadays engines can build on many platforms)

In general game is fine. I've seen a lot of games like this one, but I defiantly love graphics. The only thing that I don't really like it controls. It's really hard to aim in time have. Have you consider adding some sort of laser for guns and making input with mouse? It would be much better.

I like the difficulty progression.

And if I understood it right, it's meant to be played with 2 players on the same seat(aka. hotseat)?

Anyway, great job, I hope you had great time with this game!

Simple game with a nice, mostly cohesive look. Only reason I say mostly is I feel like all the assets have some nice poly edges on them except the turrets which I feel is a missed opportunity. That and I think a perfect way to finish it off would've been some sound effects.

But overall, I thought it was good fun! Thanks for submitting your game and good job!

Your art is amazing and the game is really fun. With some music and sounds the game would be perfect considering the time limit. Managing the 2 cannons at the same time is really perplexing, but that's just what makes the game different from some others, nice job.

Cool game! It was very difficult, but very fun! I don't think the gameplay fits the theme too well, but it makes up for it in a story that loosely fits with it and provides some humor. Great job!

@dave-troyer Thanks! :) We agree on the art front. Sadly working out the style took a little time and we didn't have time to rework the turrets. Sound would have been great to add... maybe some day soon we will get some time to finish it off. :)

@holy Thanks, always encouraging to hear. I have to agree with you on the perplexing controls. We had originally intended to use an xbox controller and have each turret locked to a joystick, but in the end we decided that keyboard would allow more people to try it out... and it adds a nice little challenge.

@purrfexionator Glad to hear that you enjoyed our humour! We had a hard time balancing the difficulty mainly because the controls were somewhat challenging to pick up... will defiantly look into designing other input options next time.

To the end it was more difficult, but I enjoyed the fight against the mars.:D
The only thing I would give you as an advice is that you should probably more think about if it's a good idea to have two hands which controls two gameobjects to the same time.
Because it can confuse the player (in this case me) which gun he currently uses.

Anyway, I like especially the little stories between the gameplay scenes. Was good humor. :)

Wow this was a surprise gem for me. Glad I found it. I really liked the idea to control two turrets at once. Totally brainf... me. And very nice graphics as well. Well done!
