The intern Game by PeaupOte

[raw]
made by PeaupOte for LD 39 (COMPO)

This is my first lLudum Dare and i really didn't want this theme. My first idea was a JRGP where all the characters ressources would be shared. But It was probably to ambitious for a novice like me. So i thought about puzzle-game around the same concept but nothing interesting came. After a moment, i thought about a game where you'll have maintain server online when request come from the internet. At first it look cool, so went for it.

It's my first video game ever. So i spent more time working against unity than thinking of new mechanics or ressources (audio or image) for my game. I quickly started to hate my game but i finished in time to be able to say "I did it".

I had some resolutions issues. The only one working for sure is 1152x720 or something like that.

Only for Mac? Link for Windows and Mac lead to the same place, and the zip only seems to contain mac build.

The Windows build is broken. Error: "There should be 'TheInternetIntern_Data' folder next to the executable". I might be wrong, but it looks like a Mac build (even though I am windows)...

Hey @peaupOte,

Your game was a bit glitched as I couldnt drag the incoming messages to each server.

Cool idea, had fun playing it! A little confusing at first, but the simple controls provided an easy introduction to the increasing difficulty.

@game-coder28, well you dont really "drag" them, you click on them and keep the mouse button down until you are pointing on a server. Then the request will go on that server. It's not very intuitive i know

It's a cool idea, although the game didn't work very well for me, for some reason I couldn't create new servers and when the admin was fixing it, more message keeps arriving and reset the work of the admin.
Nevertheless, good work on creating a game! ;)
