The Source Seekers is a game where you work at a company where your task is to collect Source

Source Fountains

There are Source Fountains that you'll have to harvest using your Source Drains, But beware the Seekers that will attack you when you start extracting Source. The more Drainers you have the more Seekers will spawn so be careful or you'll find yourself in a flood of Seekers going for your towers.

Notes

I've noticed that the tutorial isn't very clear about the fact that fountains can run out. A Fountain will only give Source while it has particles around it, But the towers will still try to extract from it :P

Also the turrets can't be placed too close to eachother, this sadly has no visual feedback.

I think this game is great honestly. The more greedy you are with harvester the harder it becomes but the quicker things get done. I also like the art a fair bit. More enemy types would be nice but obviously time is limited during a jam so cutbacks can't be avoided. As far as sound goes, I think you didn't set the turret shot sound to be 3d because I'm able to hear them from anywhere it seems.

I had little time to balance the map and I would have added more maps if I had the time. The music was a bit hasty aswell but it's something :).

By the looks of it, this is the graphics that I wish to make in my future 3D games!

Good job, love to see more like this!

To me this was a fun little game. It was easy to understand and easy to play. And the music is perhaps not perfect, but I still liked it. Overall a good LD game.

Can you add a Linux build? I cannot play this in wine as it surprisingly requires DirectX 11.

Great game (besides the slow fps :P)

Linux build works fine, managed to collect 500+ source.

Wish I had something to tell me there is no more source to collect from a resource :) (PS: I failed the tutorial, but the game is fun)

@mess110 Thanks for letting me know :)

The tutorial does have a line saying if there are no particles around a resource it's empty but I can see if you missed that line :P
I was a bit worried about that part not being obvious enough but owell, glad you liked it :D

This was a really interesting concept with the management of the source fountains and having to attack monsters at the same time. It was a lot of fun in a genre I, personally, don't normally find the fun in which I think stands to how well you did with it. Great job and the core concept of managing objects like this seems like something worth expanding on!

Really good job making all those blender models in the short compo time! The game play is really fun to!

This was a ton of fun! I lost pretty quickly the first time, but I planned out my run the second time around. Around a minute in I noticed that I had to move up to the first source fountain as my last two had ran out, and I rushed the last one to the best of my ability. I was killing enough seekers to get a new drain every few seconds, and managed to win with 0 SECONDS LEFT. Literally one as I was about to die.
Great work!

@arputikos I'd recommend choosing another resolution, perhaps your monitor doesn't support it? Or just going windowed mode
