I like your idea, and the music was really nice. It felt really slow to move the bobber, though I was on the web build so it could always be weirdness with that. I think with either a faster bobber or perhaps mouse control for the bobber instead of wasd it would feel a bit better. Those are small quibbles though, really enjoyed the game!

I love the aesthetics! The relaxing mood of fishing was offset by the ever draining power supply.

audio is a little in your face but its a nice idea, i found a way ti break it though. if you use a fish or battery you are realing in to move another fish into the net it goes away and you are stuck

Nice, it reminds me of purposefully hard-to-control games like Surgeon Simulator and QWOP (not nearly as hard as QWOP though haha). The fish are so cute! Pretty fun overall.

Cool game! It's quite a different game from the others I've played which was a really nice change. At first I was slightly annoyed by the very slow controls, but after a while I realized it was part of the core idea of the game and gave you time to consider if you should go for a fish or a battery next. Really nice. It made it weirdly relaxing and hectic at the same time, which I think was really cool. Still I think it could have been a little bit faster and still preserved the same feel.

Awesome little game! I was able to get 240. This game has all the necessities with all the sound, art and gameplay. The gameplay is absolutely fine, but there are a few things you could've added to make it look better. Not talking about the art, that's fine. But maybe some extra particles or 'scenery'. Maybe some clouds going through the background or an island? All in all, great game and congratulations! :smiley:

Interesting game; I liked the idea, the art was cute, and the music was really good!

I did find the hook (block?) moved really slow, and sometimes it seemed like it took forever to get to a fish or battery.

This reminds me so much of the old hand-held zelda finishing games which I enjoy to do. I wish movement was a little faster and the music doesn't really fit the mood of "fishing" for me however, the robot and fish are cute and the overall mood is good. A cool idea would be to allow the reel to upgrade after N number of fishes captured to allow you to reel in bigger fishes and if you tried to reel in bigger fishes without the proper reel it snaps and you start with a week one again. ;)

My score was 200. At that point, I encountered a bug that prevented me from continuing: I had hooked a battery, and a fish swam on its own accord into the collection spot, causing it to disappear, but a battery was still on my hook and I was unable to deliver it.

Interesting. I'd like to be able to move the line around at a slightly higher speed, but otherwise it wasn't bad.

Really liked that the fish and the batteries could interact, and I liked how the tutorial text disappeared, it was a really nice touch. Music was a little reminiscent of a nautical song and the graphics were clear and distinct. Well done!

Looking at the screenshots I expected more involved fishing physics where you move the rod rather than the hook. Having to swing the rod and pay attention to underwater currents to guide the hook would have been more enjoyable than slowly moving the *remote controlled* hook around.

It works of course. Juggling between fish and batteries is fine. Sometimes the physics go a bit wrong and a battery falls over such that you cannot catch it any more, but that doesn't happen too often.

A very enjoyable simple game, with lots of nice flourishes! Unfortunately, I encountered the same bug as cynicalmonkey and agentparsec, but the time I did spend with it was enjoyable!
