Cat Pack by Potondo

Controls
- WSAD to move your character
- Space to stop time
- Click on cats to order them to move and shoot
An arcade action game where you herd your cats and instruct them to move and shoot. You can also pause time for several seconds, which should make ordering your cats easier. You get points by killing the baddies.
This is my take of the theme "Combine 2 Incompatible Genres" with turn-based and real-time action, as well as the concept of herding and cats.
Used sfxr for sound effects, and West England font by Kevin Richey.

@jcmonkey Thanks for the feedback! I'll see if I can make the ramp up of the game a bit slower.
@ehtd Thanks a bunch, sorry for the confusion! The game being a bit confusing seems to be a common theme I'll definitely have to fix.
Congrats on the game, GG!
2. The control is a bit confusing.
3. The "move" and "shoot" for cat is a bit too much to control. I never get to use "move" and I always use "shoot"
But overall good job! I had fun!
- Bullets by enemy cats are shot from off screen. It can be difficult to react to the bullets at times.
- Can be tough dodging bullets at times
- Maybe have the pause timer be slower or recover faster? Can get easy to become overwhelmed.
Overall it was enjoyable. Had fun playing :)
Really fun and stressful, though! Good job!
Overall great entry and I’d love for you to review my submission as well.

I like the design of the player character and all the enemies at lot though!
It was surprisingly cooler than pausing to issue commands.
The Art is nice (bonus points for using cats xD), sound effects were cool, player feedback is ok, but I think you still have to think a bit more about gameplay. You should polish the idea of the gameplay a bit better: you could just used [left click] to select cats and [right click] to shoot, for example. It would make the gameplay WAY smoother. Also, a score on screen to keep track of how good you are doing would also be nice.
Good job!
To do this, click on the sprite in your asset browser, then in it's import settings (where the inspector is) change the filter mode from bilinear to point. This will stop pixel art from blurring like it does currently.
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.
