That's fun. Is it possible to make it to the destination? I think I'm terrible heh

@kristov ye, totally possible, I thought it's too easy and wanted to tweak it to make it harder, but I guess I just played too much while debugging, lol.

I good pushed out of the bus after 3 enemysXD Quite hard:) Good music

That was quite a bit of fun. Only 1 question; is the placement of the hit box totally random? I found myself hitting the space key when it was on the far right, and found that it would sometimes go right back to the center.

I like the mechanic! Took me a play or two to understand what I was supposed to do, and then that I could move toward the front if I'm not being pushed.

Appreciate the music and programmer art :) nice game for 48 hours.

@coldfire83 Which hitbox? you mean the bar with the red range in which you need to time right your space press? The thing is, if you don't hit the "red range" it resets to a random position, a kind of punishment for not hitting the right timing, I hope that answers your question. Thanks for the feedback!

Enjoyed the novelty of the game and being able to time the hits to attack my enemies. Music was a bit repetitive and could use another measure or two to keep it interesting. Graphics were a bit lacking, but there was enough movement on screen to keep me engaged.

Pretty simple game, but that's the charm of it. Music and art-style could use some refining but aren't bad to the point of annoyance.

Audio gets a bit repetitive but otherwise it's a fun game with a nice concept. And the theme fits :)

This bus is very very unsafe...

@jumpander the bus driver had to open that back door, oh well...

Simple game but it plays well and it was quite challenging. Even though the music and art was simple, the game mechanic was well implemented and that's what makes a good game when the game mechanics work well, the art and music comes second hand in my opinion.

Good job!

Simple but well executed mechanic here. Sometimes it felt like I got unlucky if the red bar kept spawning to the far right several times, so I was pushed off.

I liked that you really have to run towards the front of the bus in order to stay on. My initial reaction was to move to the back and try and hold my ground there, which didn't work so well.

if you continue working on this, I'd consider making the location of the "SPACE" box less random. If -- for example -- you made it proportional to the distance to the back of the bus, it would help drive up the tension!

@pennycook good idea, thanks for playing and the review!

Good Game, follows the theme nicely but I would call it a little too difficult, maybe make the bar a little bit shorter or spawn less bad guys. I could never make it to the destination.

You used the theme really well here, I like how you get pushed back even further if you mess up the timing. My only real gripe is that there are too many enemies spawning so even if you time it perfectly your progress sometimes gets reset if you randomly get a long timer on the bar. Nice and simple, well done!

Why is the backdoor open? It's a really dangerous way of riding a bus.

Really fun and smart game, a bit difficult, the controls are simple and the theme fits!
The audio/art lacks a bit, but nice work overall !

I like the idea in general, the controls are simple, but it is too hard to play. A highscore at the end would have been nice!

Cool game but it's a little hard. If you're the only one who's testing it, make it easier, even if it becomes too easy for you, for other people it might be just the right difficulty  .

Cool game, but I think the blue line does not progress fast enough because when you're almost at the end of the bus, you can not speed up and you are killed automatically. That is too bad. Otherwise, the concept is cool and the music too :)

Keep coding :)

Most realistic simulator I played so far. Perfect 7/5.

Cute game. Very difficult though, at least right off the bat. Maybe have the bar start a lot slower and start ramping up (Godot's Tweens are perfect for this). With games like this you can make it as hard as it is eventually, because if done right then the player will be adjusted to it and in focus. Just now found out that you can move with wasd, which isn't stated in the game that I'm aware of (don't expect people to read the description. I didn't, lulz). And in my last attempt I was nearly flawless but was still being pushed back further than I could progress. And a little dev tip, sometimes you want to be a bit sneaky. I personally would make the red area bigger than it is displayed. Because for example, I was hitting it at just what I felt was the perfect time (I'm fairly decent at timing games like this, and can usually hit things with pinpoint accuracy), but it wouldn't register. Which feels bad. (Speaking of which, the [SPACE] indicator shows too early, I was hitting a spot where it would say [SPACE] but was too soon to register as successful.) But good concept for the game. I might play with this idea a bit and make a spin-off.

That was surprisingly fun for being so simple! And really hard. I like it! I liked the idea mentioned before of reducing the randomness of the space press, and making it proportional to the distance along the bus to increase the tension. I'm also not too sure why there's AD/Arrow key controls, since I can't see any scenario I wouldn't just hold left arrow down the entire game. Likewise with the enter key to start the game; this entire game could be played with a single button. Space bar to start the game, constantly move the character left, etc. and really hone in on its simplicity.

Really fun! Great take on the theme. Enjoyed it a lot

I think the added difficulty from the screen shake was a nice touch. I think you could play with that idea in that the more progress the player has, the more difficult seeing the bar should be. Just a thought :p Neat little game :)
