Oh No ! More Food : A Vegan Story by Maksime
Embark on a journey with Steven the Vegan as he eats as much vegetables as possible.
Prove the world wrong and show them that vegetables can be both healthy and nourishing !
Backstory
We're a team of first-timers. This is our first Ludum Dare and our first video game ever !
Controls
Use A and D keys or Left/Right arrow to rotate the walls around Steven to grab the vegan food and avoid everything else.

you chose to take on a simple idea but polished it quite nicely.
This is exactly what you should do in a ludum dare (Keep it simple and stupid :D ).
The theme could've been worked in better, but that's not so important in my opinion.

@stefan-jovanovic Thank you ! The speed scales both with the levels and the difficulty. Although I do admit it gets very hard on the last level, even on "Easy" difficulty xD
@awesomealliterationalliance Thanks for the kind words ! We had a lot more planned if we had time but we preferred to stick to simple first and add more if we get the chance.

Nice of you to notice our twist to the theme, we actually thought it through when brainstorming, should the running out of space be a good or a bad thing ?

I would have played it more if I didn't have to start from the beginning every time I lose and so I would recommend restarting only the current level instead. The difficulty was a bit too much I think. I even tried the lower difficulty and it seemed almost the same speed or maybe it really is. In the main menu, it is best if you put a close button for each submenu otherwise, the player will be confused thinking there is no way to close the submenu.
These all are small points and not really critical just as a way of improvement. A really big point though is that you kinda missed the theme here :) Anyway, Great work :)

The speed of the "projectiles" does scale with difficulty but yeah, it's very difficult in the latest levels.
As for the theme it's kind of a subtle approach, it's just that you want to run out of space between your walls but I admit it's not very obvious.
Anyway, Thank you for playing our game !
The way the "walls" are turning (hard to be really precise) and the speed of items arriving make the game really difficult from Level 3, would have maybe preferred a kind of sphere instead of a box so that when turning it it would be the same size everywhere.
And I didn't wanted it but I ate a cat :cry:
Agreed on the speed of the collectibles in the later levels, it's kind of impossible the way the game is xD

We might on a version with slower rotation speed and a slower cuve for the speed of the projectiles.
@t8kk Thank you ! Yeah, we thought it would be part of the game to guess which "Food" is edible and which isn't ^^
Maybe there should be some way to regain HP ? either by eating special objects, or getting to the next level. Besides that the game is very fun and quick to understand !
