You are a laptop loafer hogging all the power sockets in the famous coffee shop.

You goal is to stay in the coffee shop as long as possible and keep working on your laptop and earning money.

The rules are many but quite simple.

  1. You must keep buying coffee or else staff will throw you out (Press Q)
  2. Buying coffee requires money. If you run out of money, its Game over. You can earn money by working on your laptop (Pressing space after sitting on a seat)
  3. You can only work after sitting on a seat. (Click on an empty seat to occupy)
  4. To order a coffee you have to leave your seat a go to the counter. (Press Q) but beware someone else will take your seat. So find another one quickly
  5. Working on your laptop drains battery if you are not sitting on a powered seat. If your battery is dead, its Game over

It's a bit quirky, but not bad. It took me a while to figure out that I was supposed to be holding Space, rather than mashing it.

It seems to be a little bit glitchy, too; there are some issues with tables apparently being occupied while no one is sitting there, sitting on top of other people ( https://i.imgur.com/AQaX0s9.png ) and not making use of tables at all ( https://i.imgur.com/2iXzJ8g.png ).

Good effort for a weekend's work though! I like what you did with the theme, I just think the game could have been a bit more fleshed out.

Looks like there's a bug if I click Q to get coffee, and then immediately click to sit down, it says "seat already occupied", because I hadn't finished leaving it yet. I probably could have sat on a non-powered seat, but didn't have time to think =).

Nice and simple gameplay, I enjoyed it until I got stuck.

I like it! Got to 98 coffee days, but ran out of power.
I didnt get any issues, it worked fine. A simple game, but fun, and surprisingly hectic.

"You are a laptop loafer hogging all the power sockets in the famous coffee shop." This line literally made me laugh out loud. Its a cute game with a simple premise, which is exactly what you want to make in a game jam. Sound and music would have help set the mood, but all in all it was a fun game to play! Good job!

I really missed the sound and music, the game is very fast paced and i lost quickly a few time before i got the hang of it which is not necessarily a bad thing as it keeps you trying again and again to master it.

104 Days of Coffee!! BWajaj! Nice game! I like how you can not keep on jumping to the same table all the time (Since they eventually steal your seat :) )

I like the artstyle and the gameplay, some music and sound effects would have been a great addition!!

Keep up the good work!

The concept is great, and pretty fun to manage. I definitely didn't realize you could hold space for work :P Overall it's a nice little game, good job! :)

Nice concept, definitely challenging to keep everything balanced, especially when the coffee shop starts to fill up.

Lasted 368 coffee days before I let myself get kicked out. I figured a year at *Rhombusmoney* was enough.

---

So there are a few bugs. You don't actually have to sit down to start working, you just had to have clicked on a table, and getting a drink is instantaneous as well. My guy ended up just standing on the middle table waving his computer other customers in the *Squarecoin* shop. If it wasn't for this I think the game might have been a bit more challenging, but I was able to time getting coffee and sitting back down in between customers going up to the bar so that I would have never had to lead (unless it gets more difficult after a year?

---

Graphics were good, but this game is begging for some music, and sfx. The concept of having to buy terrible *Circlecurrency* coffee just to keep getting free wifi and power is a funny one and if it weren't for the bugs mentioned I think this would have been a really frenetic and tense game. I think maybe being hyped up on all the caffeine from my *Cubedosh* cuppocinos gave me too much of an edge =P. Good game, and if you iron out those bugs will be a great one.

Interesting concept and idea.

The art style, you've chosen, fits perfectly.

Music and sound effects could significantly improve the game's mood.

I've managed to survive 196 coffee days and end up with no money (even for a cup of coffee). Looks like realistic situation

Funny and quirky :D Simple but intrincate having to remeber what to press and manage the next action! Great job, just needs some sound effects and background music and you're good to go ;)

That was a fun quirky little game! The controls felt a little unintuitive at first, but after a while, I got a hang of it. If you were able to throw in some coffee shop style music, that would be an awesome boost to the mood. As it was, it was quite a bit of fun to manage both of the bars! Keep up the good work! :)
