BlinkyWay by Diaxcor

[raw]
made by Diaxcor for LD 42 (JAM)

The theme of the game is applied in three ways, space as planet,galaxy,stars ... , space as space left to collect the planets, and space as the size of the gate that have to be bigger than the player. The player is the sun and he have to collect all the planets before the square scales up and kills you due to run out of space. The game is infinite and it generates new levels each time u pass.

Fun game, nice graphics and satisfying sounds. I did get a couple of levels where it was impossible to finish because the gate was too small for you and a few planets to fit in.

Almost everything about this game is perfect. How come this never gets any much attention?

@jake-barter you have to wait for the gate to get larger so it can fit it all , at which level did u get that difficulty ?

I loved the audio and vector-like graphics in this game. The concept was also really cool. Restarting at the first stage at the start of a level upon dying was a little annoying but it became easier to not die. Great game!

I'm having a lot of issues with colliding on invisible things? Or maybe just the gate is really sensitive? Idk.

Extremely well polished except for the aforementioned issues.

@bongard22 you can't enter the gate unless u have collected all the planets at that round , if u don't u'll die automatically, but yeah there is some issues ... you know it's hard to fix all the bugs in 3 days

Other than dying a lot without knowing why, this is a fun experience. I think a message telling the player why they died would be nice. Otherwise the audio is really well done. Good job.

Loved this game. actually quite addictive and has that "just-one-more" pull. Lots of potential here so well done.

Interesting idea, I like the fact that the next stage is the box you zoom into. As some of the others here, I had issues with dying randomly, which is a bummer because I never got past level 7 or so. I'm also not quite sure what the power-ups are for, the stages seem quite manageable without them (at least the early ones). I liked the art and music direction. Given the aspect ratio, this could become a compelling mobile game!

Awesome concept, I love watching the planets orbit when I collect them. However, every time I reach level 6 I encounter a bug where planets don't appear at all even though it says "0/2", and so I can't ever get past. ![blinkyway.jpg](///raw/486/z/1aa3b.jpg)

High degree of completion;

I like some ingenious settings inside;
