I like this game! It has unique mechanics which I've never seen before. Good job!

Nice work done, good concept, but the character movement is not that good, it's just OK! Takes some time to figure out actually what to do in this game, which can be fun for some people or can be frustating for some!

I like the game idea! The music is cool and the controls are okay. I however don't the graphics a lot, and I sometimes get stuck and can't move anymore, with the skill "move" chosen!

Congratulations on your submission. The game needs a little bit more polishing but the idea is good and the mechanics are quite unique. Maybe it would be interesting if the game showed you the layout of the level before having to pick abilities for the first time.

@bar0net Thank you for playing! I like the idea of showing the level layout. If I pick up the game again to make a proper release I will put this in serious consideration.

Fantastic game. Great visuals, funky music and some utterly unique mechanics. However the game felt off since I would have to restart each level multiple times to get the right combination of abilities maybe there could be multiple different ways to finish a level or as @bar0net suggested a map layout also the "flip" ability let me just say it took me a bit of frustration to realise that meant turning around but other than that great game can't wait until December to play more from you

@rammy294 Thank you for the review. Yeah, I can understand that. Frankly, I'm glad I still managed to design some levels. When I was doing them I really was in rush. ;)

@alexander-tan I'm sorry you had a bug. Are you sure you equiped the skills? It may not be obvious - you have to drag them from the lower bar to the upper one in the menu before the level starts.

I really liked the music, also the game is fun, I finished it. Movement and jumping could be a little faster though. but overall it is a really good game

@shozou Yeah exactly and to make those levels in what was essentially 2 hour I have a ton of respect for that they are pretty great levels just a couple of suggestions for next time :)

The "ability shopping" is a very fun mechanic. I also enjoyed your complaints about running out of time :)

The "flip" mechanic was indeed a puzzle to understand at first. Maybe you could mention it in the tutorial?

What a smart idea! Like the music, the visuals (although the could be a little more polished) look nice, especially the UI, but I find it a pity that you're almost forced to pick certain abilities... All in all, nice entry!

My game bugged on the level after the tutorial but the guy kept dancing with the music so I left it him bugged and jammed out with him for a minute before restarting. Great music, great game and it looked wonderful on my ultra widescreen!

I loved the text. Even if it was just venting, added a lot of humor (and very relatable!)

I do think it could be a really cool game with more levels or more abilities if you do decide to pick it up again, though a suggestion is to show the player a preview of the level at the ability selection screen so they're not just deciding randomly the first time!

Interesting mechanic of choosing what your skillset is for each level. Solid effort for the game! And yeah, that Ludum timer does creep up on ya!

Interesting take on the theme - good idea and implementation!
Feeling sorry that you haven't managed to finish more levels

At first I was confused and annoyed by the mechanics ("walking is a special ability??"), then I understood the concept and really started to enjoy it.

Cool idea, unfortunately I couldn't get past stage 2 because I couldn't move left :( Lots of potential, props for making a proper menu and settings and all.

Game design wise, I don't think there is much reason to ever not choose "Walk" so perhaps that could be a core ability.

Enjoyed playing your game, it seems to have a great potential. Very innovative. Also very fun. Keep going, it's great!

I like mechanic of having to choose what abilities you can use to make it through the level. Also how it integrates with the theme. The graphics are pleasant (great UI)O and the audio is well suited.
I thought I was experiencing a bug because I could only walk forward after the tutorial but I didn't realize I needed the flip ability. I think maybe if you changed the arrow under walk to only pointing one way (or explaining the flip in the tutorial) it would make more sense. I found your in game comments about running out of time hilarious haha especially when I fell down in level 2. I feel your pain with the jam crunch! Good job!

@hegemege If you're willing to give the game another go, consider checking the Flip ability! Unless you had it, then I'm sorry you had a bug like this. :( Still, thank you for the review!

Nice game! I love the graphics and music. Nice tutorial level too. I like how the character moves their feet to the beat of the music, was that intentional?

I think maybe being able to swap moves during the game might be interesting. I agree that seeing the level layout, also would have helped. Having to just replay levels cause I chose the wrong moves was a little annoying but it still made for a good puzzle game. The comments in the game added nice ambiance and humor.

@ryanjavanshir Haha, while I wish I could say that it was, unfortunately, it wasn't. I animated character the day before making the song, it's just a happy accident. ;)

Movement is a little floaty and it seemed to move slow, but it could have been my machine.

I really like the mechanic of limited abilities. Added that extra element that fits into the theme well.

@shozou ah, that one I didn't try, I wasn't sure of its purpose. Gonna try it again later

Great button feedback, the wall jump mechanic is fantastic. It was very very very challenging at first, I didnt even get why I fall down the wall T_T but once I get it, I feel much more powerful haha. Love the interactive tutorial man, good job squeezing that in last minute, one of the best tutorial Ive seen in this LD's entries!

Interesting mechanics, though I would suggest not to change the screen everytime it restarts as it kinda breaks the flow of the game

Nice concept! I like how you wrote stuff in some places saying you we're late for the sumbission, that was clever and funny. It's a pity there were no more levels, but hey... you made it in time! :D

Most stuff has been said here, solid entry. Some of the physics/ hitboxes could be tweaked to play a bit smoother but overall this entry is more interesting then most other games i tested. Good job

cool entry! equipping your skills for "loadouts" is a cool and fun inclusion that gives some custom feel and lets you approach the levels the right way. definitely a smooth quality entry nice job!

Nice use of concept and theme, although it doesn't show at first, but really well done! :P I almost did use Affinity Designer at first, because of its pixel preview thingy, but since I was on a really strict resolution, ended up using only Aseprite. :D

Nice work, pretty challenging great work on audio too! It plays a bit loud, but doesn't compromise the game, it really fits the style also! :)

Good job, sir! ;)

pretty interesting idea. picking the wrong load out is a little annoying. would have liked to have like a core loadout, and then you add additional abilities to get to alternate exits perhaps. I loved all the notes throughout :)

Nice work, considering you made it all alone and with so little time! The audio is very good! Maybe if the mechanics of changing your skill set were more accessible in-game it would lessen the hassle of having to restart every time.
